Maturing Beyond Scripture

Maturing is a necessary aspect of the human experience. All beginners need the fundamentals to get started. Principles and Standards are fundamentals that help give direction toward a destination. Biblical scriptures serve as principles and standards providing direction in the way we should go. Scripture points to a person and is eventually converted to a voice. That voice begins to supersede principle and standard to improve clarity with precise instructions.

Are you dealing with the Root or Petals?

When we think about sin, we oftentimes limit sin to the result of sin. Things such as lying, stealing, drunkenness, sexual immorality, dissensions, hatred, greed, adultery, selfishness and so forth. While all these things are associated with sin, they are not the root of sin. Liken to that of a rose, the rose grows and eventually produces petals. The petals do not make the rose a rose. The seed which is the nature of the rose produces a root system strong enough to eventually produce petals. This is the same process of sin. The very nature of sin has a root system, and today, we will discover exactly what is that root system.

Jealousy....A destructive force derived from Unbelief

All sin is tied to a form of unbelief. Today, we will evaluate the destructive force of jealousy. Jealousy is an influence from darkness that is designed to keep you from experiencing the kingdom of God. It is a bitterness that grows dangerously with intent to destroy. Jealousy has a potency that will work through generations if left unchecked. The great news is that there is victory over this damaging force. Overcoming jealousy requires faith and honesty.

i AM... Prophet, Priest and King

I AM…Prophet, Priest and King came to me as a prophetic inspiration and instruction spoken into my life. It was given to me as a declaration and reminder of who I am in Christ. As believers, we inherit a new identity but it takes time for us to grow into that identity. Liken to that when a baby is born, they have your identity, but sometimes the physical features have may have no resemblance. But over time, the baby begins to grow starting to develop certain features that resemble the parent. Likewise, our lives will soon begin to look like Jesus. Transformation is a process that occurs while renewing the mind. As your mind is renewed, you begin to function in your new identity through faith and the knowledge obtained through meditation and experience. Today, we will get more understanding of who we are and learn our position in the earth.

Don’t allow tradition to rob you of a life with God

Societal thought patterns have reduced a life with God as a choice of tradition. This perspective has been shaped and emerged from doctrines created by man. These doctrines are more aligned with man’s tradition rather than the illuminating power of God’s word. Religion and church are terms that have become walls blocking people of a life with God. God cares more about life than the outward appearance of doing Church. Let’s check out an example where Jesus addressed this very thing…
