Les mer let's skip the small talk

I decided to create this podcast because of my love for story telling. I wanted to create a place where we can have open, honest conversations about everything that makes us human, and makes us who we are. I truly believe everything happens for a reason, and what better way to use *trauma* than to help others in similar situations. Expect anything and everything from this podcast, so many different topics, guests, who knows what will happen. Most importantly, take care of yourself <3

episode puppy blues cover

puppy blues

Join me this week to talk about the reality of getting a puppy because it is not all fun and games my friends. (I 10000% love my dog & could not imagine my life without him, but it did not start out that way) "puppy blues" is a term [https://www.pitpat.com/puppy/puppy-blues-how-to-cope-when-things-go-wrong/] used to describe the negative experiences and feelings that some people experience after bringing home a puppy. After the immediate euphoria of the fluffy bundle of fun wears off, many puppy owners (and particularly first-time dog owners) are left feeling a range of emotions including feeling overwhelmed, sad, helpless, guilty, trapped, anxious, overwhelmed sometimes regretful, and without support" I think we can all agree that the thought of a cute, fluffy puppy is enough to make us melt. I pictured all of the cute things we could do together, cuddling, going for walks, all of it. But let me tell you, getting a puppy is not all fun and games. I'm not completely out of touch with reality, I knew it was going to be tough, and require 24/7 attention... BUT you don't really know what 24/7 attention is until you do it. While the initial excitement is real, the reality of 24/7 attention and care can be overwhelming. I really underestimated how much a tiny creature would make me question my life choices. The first month was ROUGH, but slowly it got better and the puppy gets better every day. I love Mayor very much, but it took a hot minute for me to let myself love him. I really want to normalize talking about the shame and guilt associated with being angry at a cute little innocent baby.

episode let's skip the small talk - intro cover

let's skip the small talk - intro

hello! welcome to the inside of my brain. I apologize in advance for my adhd rambles and pauses. I decided to create this podcast because of my love for story telling. I wanted to create a place where we can have open, honest conversations about everything that makes us human. I truly believe that everything happens for a reason, and I've had my fair share of *trauma*, and what better way to use it for good than helping others feel seen. Most of the time, people talk about something after they've made it through and have advice to offer. While that is important and encouraging, I think we should also talk about things while we are in the middle. When  people reach for a podcast about a certain topic, they are usually struggling with it, and knowing that it's okay not to have all of the answers is very comforting for some people.  My goals are:  • to bring awareness to topics that are usually avoided • destroy stereotypes and stigmas attached to topics • provide comfort and hope to anyone struggling • allow others to share their stories much love <3

Liker at det er både Podcaster (godt utvalg) og lydbøker i samme app, pluss at man kan holde Podcaster og lydbøker atskilt i biblioteket.
Bra app. Oversiktlig og ryddig. MYE bra innhold⭐️⭐️⭐️
