Chris is a recorded minister in Western Yearly Meeting and has been pastor of Friends of Jesus Fellowship (Newberry) for 35 years and now also pastor at Blue River for four and a half years. He has Lindley roots in each meeting. He is also a high school social studies teacher of 34 years at Paoli High School. Married to Michelle, they have 3 children and 7 grandchildren. Eric is a convinced Quaker, wandering into First Friends for the first time in 2012, having grown up in a conservative, Evangelical environment. In addition to his role as marketing coordinator for the financial advisory firm The Wellington Group, Eric is an active musician, performing at venues around Indianapolis. Patrick and his wife, Loretta, have attended First Friends since early 2023, after he retired from Catholic parish ministry. His master’s degree is from Catholic Theological Union in Chicago. We are happy to welcome Emily Provance as our guest speaker today. Emily is a recorded minister and member of Fifteenth Street Meeting in New York City and travels full-time in ministry, visiting Quaker communities around the world in the tradition of traveling Friends. Her ministry focuses on helping Friends deepen relationships across differences, strengthen intergenerational community life, and work together faithfully amid theological, cultural, and practical diversity. Emily has contributed to projects involving outreach, hybrid and online faith communities, support for parents, meeting life cycles, and violence prevention.
