Mablevi Lupus Foundation

The Mablevi Lupus Foundation (MLF). This foundation was born out of the need to create more awareness about Lupus in Nigeria and to assist lupus warriors in accessing more affordable medical care and medication. Lupus is an autoimmune disease without a cure where the body’s immune system attacks the body and causes damage to the body’s healthy organs. It is extremely difficult to diagnose which affects mostly women and children of African heritage.Lupus can be better managed if diagnosed on time. In Nigeria we have more than 100,000 known cases of Lupus. Lupus is very fatal if not diagnosed on time or managed properly as it damages the heart, kidneys and liver and the whole immune system is affected.
