S2 Ep2282: "The Paradox of Peace and Suffering in the Christian Life" | Malcolm Cox | Quiet Time Coaching Episode 572

I have been reading and studying about the concept of Sabbath, and, more broadly, rest. It seems there is a paradox in the Christian life. How to embrace both the peace of Christ and his suffering. S2 Ep2282: "Breaking the Hurry Habit" | Malcolm Cox | Quiet Time Coaching Episode 571

Reflecting on a video by John Ortberg I watched recently, a simple but piercing truth struck me: hurry is a symptom. It’s also a habit—but more than that, it’s a signal. The deeper question is, what is hurry trying to achieve? And what is it trying to cover? S2 Ep2279: Teaching Tip 414 | "Your Voice Matters". Part 19 - Speak Up! Tips for new and inexperienced speakers | Malcolm Cox

Today, I simply want to give you an exhortation. Speak up, because your voice matters! Isaiah 55.10-11 “For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return there until they have watered the earth, making it bring forth and sprout, giving seed to the sower and bread to the eater, so shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and succeed in the thing for which I sent it.” Notes: https://www.malcolmcox.org/teaching-tip-413-your-voice-matters-part-18-my-top-tip-tips-for-new-and-inexperienced-speakers-malcolm-cox-2/ [https://www.malcolmcox.org/teaching-tip-413-your-voice-matters-part-18-my-top-tip-tips-for-new-and-inexperienced-speakers-malcolm-cox-2/] Send questions and comments here ➡️ malcolm@malcolmcox.org Subscribe to my Podcast: https://audioboom.com/channels/4909728.rss [https://audioboom.com/channels/4909728.rss] Get a copy of my free eBook on spiritual disciplines, “How God grows His people”, sign up at my website: http://[www.malcolmcox.org [http://www.malcolmcox.org]](http://www.malcolmcox.org/ [http://www.malcolmcox.org/]).  Connect with me! S2 Ep2282: "Leave The Phone Alone" | Malcolm Cox | Quiet Time Coaching Episode 570

Today I'm sharing some initial impressions from a day I spent without my phone. I'm currently in the woods for my normal prayer walk, and I'm using my old MP3 recorder instead of my phone because I left it at home. This wasn't an accident; it was a deliberate choice. I did this yesterday and I've done it again this morning. S2 Ep2281: "Because He Lives..." | Malcolm Cox

Christians often talk about the resurrection as a fact - Jesus rose from the dead. The early Christians did refer to the fact of the resurrection, but most often they emphasised that Jesus was alive, that he lives, thus emphasising his ongoing power and presence. His work continues.  We are living in the powerful afterglow of the resurrection.  Send questions and comments here ➡️ malcolm@malcolmcox.org Subscribe to my Podcast: https://audioboom.com/channels/4909728.rss [https://audioboom.com/channels/4909728.rss] Get a copy of my free eBook on spiritual disciplines, “How God grows His people”, sign up at my website: http://[www.malcolmcox.org [http://www.malcolmcox.org]](http://www.malcolmcox.org/ [http://www.malcolmcox.org/]).  Connect with me! Liker at det er både Podcaster (godt utvalg) og lydbøker i samme app, pluss at man kan holde Podcaster og lydbøker atskilt i biblioteket.
Bra app. Oversiktlig og ryddig. MYE bra innhold⭐️⭐️⭐️
