Good day beautiful people!! Bev Perez here, I am the CEO/Founder of SHIELDUS Co. (Self Help In Every Law Enforcement Department) a non-profit focused on breaking the stigma on mental health and ending the suicide epidemic amongst Law Enforcement/First Responders. Our goal is to host our first wellness retreat in 2023 please check out our website for more: https://www.shieldus.app/ I also offer healing circles, wellness picnics and trainings for first responders.  I am a retired Police Officer, I served 10 years in Law Enforcement and after being involved in a traumatic event I was terminated by my department and denied my medical pension. My goal is to be the voice for the men and women who have served or continue to serve their communities and do not feel supported. I am also a motivational speaker, mindset coach, trainer (teaching peer support, crisis response, crisis intervention, and more) to Law-Enforcement/First Responders.  This podcast is for any and everybody. If you often ask yourself "what is my purpose", "what is the point" or say things like "I hate people" and desire a life of fulfillment but have no idea how to get there, this podcast is for you! The title of my presentations when I go on stages is ..."Tragedy to Triumph" An Unexpected Journey of Growth...and I want to help you reach your full potential. When I get off stage I am often asked "Bev how do you do it? How did you get here?" Well I am ready to answer any and all questions and give you all the tips and tools that have led me to a life of gratitude, abundance, fulfillment, love and purpose. This is the introduction and I welcome you to listen and give me feedback.  I look forward to connecting with you all and thank you for listening.
