Living as a Black Man With Autism
Welcome Marcus Boyd as he shares his truth on living as a black man with Autism. Marcus Leonardo Boyd is 4x Award winning Autism Activist. He is also a 13x Award Winning Music producer and composer. Marcus is the CEO of Multiple businesses. He was born with Autism and didn’t start speaking until he was 13 or 13 1/2 at a 2 year old level. So many doctors said the left side of his brain didn't function correctly and he would never get an education, feed himself, put his own clothes or be able to function on his own. He was on so my medications and he had problems with communication and emotional issues. He was abused for years in every way you can imagine. He was in 17 different foster homes, 16 different group homes and 16 different mental hospitals. Marcus was in electrical shock therapy for years where he was electrocuted for 20 minutes a day for years to get him to focus to take his medication. Him being non verbal and feeling alone he felt like no one would love someone with Autism. He also felt like no one would understand him. Today God has blessed him to be in places he never dreamed of.
Marcus shares how he was beaten, starved, raped and counted out. He shares how he overcame what many would expect to destroy him. Marcus gives us an inside look at what autism is, how it feels and what is associated with a meltdown. His story will give you hope, inspiration and motivation that you can do ANYTHING you put your mind too.

Single Black Fatherhood
Bill Davis joins us to share his truth on what successful black fathering looks like. The why, how and what it takes to raise successful children as a single black dad. Bill shares how many people thought taking on raising his four children as a single dad was not a good idea. He shares how he defeated the odds and overcame the challenges by forming a village. Bill has two sons and two daughters he discussing the difference in raising sons vs raising daughters and why it was important to not only recognize but acknowledge the difference in order to raise healthy men and women.
He shares his experience with trying to date being a single dad of four. Was he treated like a single mom of four? Were his struggles the same of that of a single mom? Was it more difficult or did people give him more help because he is a man?
