Svitlana Kalitsun

The invasion of Ukraine is a major moment in European history. We talked to Oksana Lemishka in our Ukraine Special Part 1 last week, who shared her harrowing story of fleeing Ukraine on the first day of the invasion to Hungary, Austria and finally Germany. Today we are talking to Svitlana Kalitsun in part 2 who is also a Ukrainian based in Vienna. We have a truly inspirational first guest for season 3 of Moments of Clarity. Our guest Oksana Lemishka is a refugee from Ukraine who has had a huge change in her life thrust upon her by the Russian Invasion of her country. Oksana is a University of Cambridge educated sociologist and a media and culture specialist who fled Kyiv on the first day of the invasion. Oksana tells her emotional story of fleeing to Germany and shares great insights into why Ukraine has shown such resilience, determination and even positivity whilst shining a light for democracy and freedom in the shadow of darkness.
