Bleu de Chanel Parfum for Him

I could talk about this perfume for hours and hours. :) A woody, aromatic fragrance for the man who defies convention; a provocative blend of citrus and woods that liberates the senses. Fresh, clean, and profoundly sensual: BLEU DE CHANEL Parfum. As the commercial suggests, Bleu de Chanel was designed as a perfume for the modern man, casual in style. The fragrance stands for the tie: the busy modern guy wears a shirt but doesn’t need anymore a tie, even if it is a businessman or an elegant man by default. But Bleu de Chanel replaces the tie successfully. As a woman, I loved this fragrance from the beginning when it was just the eau de toilette, from 2010. Then, they made the eau de parfum, in 2014, and now my husband has Bleu de Chanel Parfum, from 2018, which I think is pretty the same as eau de parfum. It is, maybe, a bit more citrusy. But the DNA remains of Bleu de Chanel, a very good fragrance, a favorite of many men and loved by a lot of women. The design of the bottle is simple, yet effective. A dark blue square, imposing, but by nothing special. I could say it is a minimalist but elegant bottle. And the dark blue makes it a bit mysterious. But, in the code of colors for scents, a dark blue packaging of a fragrance denotes both boldness and receding, confidence yet sadness. Not to mention that Classic Blue is the color of the year 2020, according to Pantone Institute. Bleu de Chanel was created by Chanel's in-house perfumer Jacques Polge and it contains notes of citrus (bergamot, lemon, grapefruit), “deep blue sea” accord, peppermint, pink pepper, nutmeg, ginger, jasmine, cedar, vetiver, patchouli, labdanum, and frankincense. Bombshell Eau de Parfum by Victoria’s Secret

I’ve tested a lot of perfumes, some of well-known brands, others of Avon or Oriflame, but few remained so close to my soul like... Bombshell from Victoria’s Secret. I first bought it from the Lisbon airport, in 2013, from Victoria's Secret store itself. I admit that it was hard for me to choose, because there were quite a lot of nice fragrances of this brand in that store, with enchanting aromas. Also, there were other amazing cosmetics in that store: body lotions, makeup, hand creams and so on. All smelling so good. That's how I discovered the Victoria’s Secret cosmetics and fragrances, which I consider, mostly, stronger than other fragrances with important labels of big fashion houses. I had a bit of a problem when, almost at the end of the bottle, I couldn't find it in my country at that moment, to buy it again, as, of course, I wanted more of it. It is a favorite, for sure, so, yep, more for me of this Bombshell. As many as possible. :)) However, I came across them on the internet, in several online stores. (...) But now, this amazing fragrance and others also, of this brand, are available in Romania and, moreover, now we have a Victoria's Secret proper store in Bucharest. The scent is very persistent. More than once I was asked „what perfume do I wear”, because it has a very interesting aroma. This question came up many times in the evening, and, in those days, I have to mention that I sprayed the fragrance on myself in the morning or at noon.  Whoop-whooop! Miss Dior Eau de Parfum

Well, I am much more a Dior’s fan than a Chanel’s one, in general. So… it is not a surprise that also my favourite fragrance is one of Dior’s, namely… Miss Dior! So, yep, I am starting this brand new series of podcasts about perfumery telling you the story behind my one and only, at this moment. “Miss Dior is a signature of the house,” says Francois Demachy, Dior’s in-house perfumer and creator of the modern Miss Dior from 2012 and then,  2017. “In perfumery, Miss Dior is a classic. When you learn perfumery, it is certainly one of the ones you study. But 70 years later, there is an opportunity to do something new, something that creates an alternative vision of what Miss Dior might mean”, says the nose Demachy. Miss Dior Eau de Parfum always makes me feel like a real Parisienne. And it expresses that joie de vivre - love for life - of young women.
