Ian Maguire and I have worked together for the entirety of his teaching career. As I occasionally remind him, he is eight years younger than I am, which means I have had the uncommon privilege of watching him evolve from a new educator into one of the most thoughtful, authentic teachers I know... ... The ideas in this article emerged from conversations between us—some formal, many informal, a few recorded. Together, we teach two complementary courses at Barnstable High School: Music Production and Contemporary Music Ensemble. Over time, we have worked to align those courses into a more intentional, integrated pathway we call Studio Music. This article is our attempt to articulate what that looks like, why it matters, and what other educators might take from our experience."

Episode 18: The Year of Tyler, the Creator: Teaching the Creative Process

Send us Fan Mail [https://www.buzzsprout.com/1968767/fan_mail/new] This episode is a reading of an article previously published in the Massachusetts Music Educators Journal, titled “The Year of Tyler, the Creator: Teaching the Creative Process”. Excerpt: “In my music production classroom, I often use Tyler as an example of what we call “the other 80%”—the creative potential that exists beyond standardized metrics of success. Tyler’s journey, from being kicked out of his high school band for his hyperactivity - to producing, performing, and designing every facet of his artistry, is a perfect illustration of creativity in action. Students are often unaware of the thousands of hours that go into honing a craft—the composing, arranging, mixing, and editing that comprise a professional musician’s daily work. This lack of understanding is exacerbated in an era dominated by standardized testing, where students are conditioned to seek “the correct answer” rather than engage with the iterative process of creation.” Check out the printed article below:  The Year of Tyler, the Creator: Teaching the Creative Process [https://online.fliphtml5.com/mlkuf/zbor/#p=29]

Liker at det er både Podcaster (godt utvalg) og lydbøker i samme app, pluss at man kan holde Podcaster og lydbøker atskilt i biblioteket.
Bra app. Oversiktlig og ryddig. MYE bra innhold⭐️⭐️⭐️
