From the Dance Floor to the Altar

Early one morning while it was still dark outside, I stumbled over a chair I didn’t see. My granddaughter looked up and said, “It’s hard to see in the dark, isn’t it? It’s better when you have some light.” And just like that… God started speaking. How many times have we stumbled through life because we were walking in the dark? How many traps did we miss? How many setups did the enemy place in our path that we couldn’t see? In this episode, I share how stepping into the light of Jesus changed everything for me. The scales fell off my eyes. What once confused me became clear. What once trapped me lost its power. I used to give the devil everything on the dance floor my energy, my passion, my movement. Now I give God everything at the altar in praise and worship. The gift didn’t change. The Kingdom did. Darkness distorts. Light reveals. I also share a personal moment from my own journey how God had to correct my heart and teach me the difference between admiration and comparison, while revealing that God using someone else does not cancel your calling. God is raising up a remnant in this season ...people who are not driven by titles or tradition, but by obedience, humility, and a hunger for Jesus. Some of what God is doing today won’t look like what He did yesterday and that doesn’t make it wrong. There are days when you don’t feel your best. Days when your body is tired. Days when your voice feels weak. Days when everything in you wants to rest. And rest is important ...God designed rest. But there’s a difference between rest and resistance. In today’s episode of No Makeup Monday Ministries, I share how even when I was congested, tired, and not feeling my best, I still showed up for our family prayer line and how God met me in my weakness. Sometimes God calls us to rest. And sometimes the enemy uses tiredness to try to stop the assignment. This episode is for anyone learning to discern the difference. Sometimes you have to run out of your own strength to run into God’s help. Your push today might be what pushes someone else tomorrow.
