Om Pastor Chris' Podcast

I'm a pastor, dad, husband, and child of God. I'm broken, but blessed. The cracks are where the Light shines through. My mission is to help people grow closer to God with every breath and step I take. I gave my life to Christ at an early age and have grown closer through the years, spurred on by the study of the Bible, my church family, and the Chrysalis and Walk to Emmaus Communities. I accepted the call to full -time ministry as a pastor in 1999 and have served 4 different churches in Georgia. Music, preaching, and teaching are the heart of my ministry. Outside of the pulpit, I enjoy many hobbies that help me blow off steam. These include martial arts, woodworking, blacksmithing, gardening, cooking, and being creative. I'm a jack of all trades and a master of none. My philosophy is use what you have, do it yourself if you can, learn something in the process, and have lots of fun. This channel is a place to share it all with you.

Holy Breath of Life

Holy Breath of Life is an earthy, unplugged folk worship song inspired by the beauty and wonder of God’s creation. I began writing it while sitting at the beach, thinking about how all of creation—in its own way—seems to praise its Creator. The wind, the waves, the trees, the birds, and even the breath in our lungs all testify to the life and glory of God. I wanted the music itself to have that same natural, organic feeling. The arrangement is intentionally simple and acoustic, built around acoustic guitar, tambourine, bass drum, piano, and bass. It has the feel of people gathering together with ordinary instruments and simply making music to God. At its heart, Holy Breath of Life celebrates a creation that is alive with the glory of its Creator. It is both a song of praise and an invitation to join creation’s song—to recognize God’s presence in the world around us, receive His breath of life, and add our own voices to the praise already rising from everything He has made.
