Art in Saclay: how have patients had their stories turned into works of art?

As part of a project called Art in Saclay, teams from the Servier Group, in collaboration with patients and artists, are putting on an innovative and inspiring exhibition at the Paris-Saclay Research and Development Institute. The exhibition features a number of works of art by three artists who have been inspired by the powerful testimonies of patients they have had the opportunity to meet. These discussions, these words, these confessions have served as inspiration. We wanted to provide you with additional interviews with these artists and some of the patients to help you understand this rather unusual creative process and to see how such a project, which was also intended to inspire the Servier group's employees and researchers, was experienced by all those involved. Dans le cadre d'un projet baptisé Art in Saclay, les équipes du groupe Servier, en collaboration avec des patients et des artistes, proposent une exposition innovante et inspirante au sein de l'Institut de recherche et développement de Paris-Saclay. On peut donc y admirer différentes œuvres d'art que l'on doit à trois artistes qui se sont inspirés de témoignages forts de patients qu'ils ont eu l'opportunité de rencontrer. Ce sont ces discussions, ces mots, ces confessions qui ont ainsi servi d'inspiration. Nous avons voulu vous proposer des entretiens complémentaires avec ces artistes et certains patients afin de comprendre ce processus de création assez inédit et de voir comment un tel projet, destiné aussi à inspirer les collaborateurs et les chercheurs du groupe Servier, avait été vécu par tous les intervenants. The key role of patients in research

In this episode, we will have the opportunity to listen to patients from previous episodes who will share with us their most important conclusions regarding the benefit of patient involvement in the medical research project. We will discover the value for the research process but also the value for the patients as individuals.
