On the road of life, we will encounter to potential guides: Lady Wisdom and Lady Folly. Both are calling out to us and inviting us to walk with them. Both of them will lead us to a destination based our decision. Lady Folly leads her followers to death but Lady Wisdom leads hers to life and peace. The writer of Proverbs calls God’s people to live skillfully in a world that often pushes us toward foolishness. Every day, we’re surrounded by competing voices, each claiming to offer the good life. But Proverbs cuts through the noise with a timeless truth: to live well in God’s world, we must live according to God’s ways. Wisdom begins with a posture of reverence, humility, and trust that shapes how we see everything else. The way of wisdom is the way of life, and it’s found in walking closely with the One who is Wisdom Himself: Jesus.

Proverbs describes wisdom as a way of living that will help us navigate the many choices that come our way. The pursuit of wisdom and the Fear of the Lord will lead us to live lives of virtue, integrity, and generosity, which will lead to a life well lived.

When God is at the center, we stop guessing our way through life and begin learning how to live in step with reality.

Hebrews: Jesus is Better - Week 9

Hebrews proclaims that Jesus is supreme over all creation and fulfills everything the Old Covenant anticipated, offering a better hope and the finished work of salvation. Through His once-for-all sacrifice and ongoing priestly ministry, believers are given confident access to God and assurance that their faith rests on something secure. In light of this, Hebrews calls weary believers to persevere, warning against drifting away and urging faithful endurance rooted in trust in Christ.
