In today's episode, Christos and I talk about why and how you can join a Luxembourgish party as a foreign resident. There's been a long silence on here but with summer starting and more free time i hope to go back to my usual schedule of 1 episode per week. Feel free to write to me with content ideas or requests. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/runasruminations/support [https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/runasruminations/support]
In today’s episode, Christos and I sat down and realized that we went to the same school: The European School. We talked about issues like identity, why it is so difficult for Luxembourg to keep its EU students in the country, and what it means to be a European citizen. Then, we seguewayed into why it is that people don’t stay or come back to Luxembourg. We touched on cost of living and the lack of political representation of immigrants in the Luxembourgish government. In a nutshell: the "Eurobubble" of Luxembourg, a phenomenon where immigrants do not partake in decision-making in Luxembourg, and consequently don’t participate in society. I highly recommend, for anyone who's interested in learning more about Luxembourg, to check out Christos' instagram @christosfloros. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/runasruminations/support [https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/runasruminations/support]
