Due to the Shelter in Place orders, my dad hasn't been able to get a haircut in the past few months. As such he's been growing out his afro. This inspired him to tell The Afro, a story of when his older brother took him to get a haircut from a man named Sneeze. Hope you enjoy this story from my dad! P.S. You can hear my dog Roscoe panting in the background of the audio...my deepest apologies. He had just finished playing with my parent's chihuahua, Mouse. One day my dad told me a story inspired by my sister, Shian. In this story a young, lonely girl befriends a blue jay that she names Peanut. Her new, unique friend enriches her life and she is no longer lonely. The first time my dad told me this story, it had a different ending... I cried so much that he had to change the story so that it was no longer tragic. I'm glad to say this is the version of Shian's Peanut that has a happy ending.
