episode Chris Henry, EAA Museum Programs Director cover

Chris Henry, EAA Museum Programs Director

In this episode of The Aeronut Podcast, I'm joined by another special guest from the Experimental Aircraft Association [https://www.google.com/search?newwindow=1&rlz=1CAZKSY_enUS978US978&sxsrf=APq-WBva6XwCH1b_p3U5SxuKswHduUTRSQ:1644808708493&q=association&spell=1&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwimg6z2nf71AhXLlIkEHWzQBfQQkeECKAB6BAgCEDI], Chris Henry.  Chris has had an interesting aviation career, working as a medical helicopter dispatcher before working at EAA, eventually becoming the Museum Programs Director. He has worked on multiple interesting projects, including the recent restoration of a UH-1 Huey, repaint project of a F4U Corsair that flew in Jesse Brown's squadron, and a book about WW2 veterans flying on EAA's B-17. episode What is Civil Air Patrol? cover

What is Civil Air Patrol?

Ever wonder if there's an aviation and leadership program designed for young people that's also an auxiliary of the USAF? Well then you're in the right place because today we're talking all about Civil Air Patrol. CAP was founded back in 1941, only a few days before Pearl Harbor. CAP has done lots of missions for the USAF since then, we go into detail about this in the early stages of the episode. We then move on to talk about some of the cool stuff you can do in the program, as well as some great stories. I'm joined by two other cadets from my squadron: C/Capt Carter Hudson, Deputy Cadet Commander of Willow Run Composite Sqaudron, and C/SrA Nicholas Posey, the Safety Airman.  Please leave a like/review, subscribe, and we'll be back in ten days with another great interview! -------- Visit Willow Run Composite Squadron's Facebook page for pictures of us doing cool stuff: https://www.facebook.com/CAP260 Find out more about CAP here: https://www.gocivilairpatrol.com/ Follow us on Twitter: @AeronutPodcast Or on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/The-Aeronut-Podcast-104048778750748 Visit the website: https://aeronut-podcast.wixsite.com/home/podcast

Missionary and General Aviation with Bob Hamilton (TAP 21)

Have you ever wondered what it's like to land a small plane on the Amazon river supporting local people? This week on The Aeronut Podcast, I'm joined by Bob Hamilton. Bob flew cargo out of Willow Run Airport for several years, then transitioned to missionary work in Brazil, flying his Super Petrel airplane in and around the Amazon river. He has several harrowing tales from not only his missionary flying, but also some good ones from flying cargo. All of that and much more, all right here on The Aeronut Podcast. Liker at det er både Podcaster (godt utvalg) og lydbøker i samme app, pluss at man kan holde Podcaster og lydbøker atskilt i biblioteket.
Bra app. Oversiktlig og ryddig. MYE bra innhold⭐️⭐️⭐️
