What Does Eternal Life in Heaven Actaully Mean When We Die?

When most people hear the phrase “eternal life,” they imagine simply living forever. But according to Scripture, eternal life isn’t just about duration — it’s about quality. Jesus didn’t say, “This is eternal existence,” but “This is eternal life: that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent” (John 17:3). Eternal life begins in relationship, not in the ticking of a celestial clock.
