In this powerful and moving interview, I sit down with Marziyeh (Marzi) Amirizadeh, an Iranian-American Christian who faced unimaginable persecution for her faith in Iran. Marzi was arrested in 2009 alongside her friend Maryam Rostampour for converting to Christianity and sharing the Gospel. They spent 259 days in the notorious Evin Prison — one of the world's most brutal facilities — enduring intense interrogations, solitary confinement, unsanitary conditions, and a death sentence by hanging for "apostasy." Yet, in the midst of darkness, Marzi's unwavering faith shone brightly. She and Maryam boldly shared God's love with fellow inmates, turning their cellblock into a place of hope and even leading many to Christ. After international pressure led to their miraculous release, Marzi immigrated to the United States. Today, she is a published author, international speaker, and advocate for human rights. Marzi is also the founder and president of New Persia, a nonprofit dedicated to advocating for persecuted Christians, empowering oppressed women under radical Islam, exposing the Iranian regime's lies, and restoring historic ties between Persians, Jews, and Christians.
