Episode 2: Leading Women

The time is ripe for a discussion of female leadership and innovation, and here at The Edge we are delighted to bring together a panel of leading women from across the Canadian innovation spectrum to discuss their experiences on the ground. What’s it really like being a woman innovator in Canada in 2023? What barriers are female entrepreneurs coming up against, and what do they need? Why is it still so important to encourage women to take their place as leaders and innovators? And why should we be excited about what the future holds? We couldn’t be in better company to explore these questions and many more. ----more---- PANELISTS Juliette Champeil, Co-Founder and CEO of Ivano Bioscience [https://ivanobioscience.com/]  Kayla Isabelle, CEO at Startup Canada [https://www.startupcan.ca/] Sunshine Quem Tenasco, from Kitigan Zibi Anishinabeg, Founder of Her Braids [https://www.herbraids.com/] and Pow Wow Pitch [https://www.powwowpitch.org/]

episode Episode 1: Growing Colour cover

Episode 1: Growing Colour

The fashion industry is responsible for one fifth of global water pollution. It’s all down to the petroleum-based dyes used to colour our clothing: they are synthetic, toxic to the environment, and sullying water systems across the world. But what if there were another way to dye our clothes? What if we could ‘grow’ colour? In this inaugural episode of The Edge, Kate Kenyon speaks to Iris Redinger, winner of the Mitacs Environmental Entrepreneur Award and Founder of green-tech start-up Material Futures, about her company’s bright idea to produce colour naturally using microorganisms. Kate also speaks to Leah Barrett, Professor at George Brown College, Beth Mason, CEO of the Verschuren Centre, and Ashley Hannon, Mitacs Senior Advisor, to understand the bigger picture.

Liker at det er både Podcaster (godt utvalg) og lydbøker i samme app, pluss at man kan holde Podcaster og lydbøker atskilt i biblioteket.
Bra app. Oversiktlig og ryddig. MYE bra innhold⭐️⭐️⭐️
