Interview with ELS institute at RWTH Aachen University.

Today we are talking to Dr Sarah Weihmann and Dr. Frank Charlier at RWTH Aachen University’s chair of Repository safety. Who are researching how to safely manage, store and disposal of spent nuclear fuel.  Understanding how this waste is managed is critical for the future of nuclear energy in Europe, regaining public acceptance and building awareness is perhaps even more critical now that other energy sources are coming under pressure from the Iranian conflict. So, it is a great opportunity to catch up with them while I’m here in Aachen and learn about more about repository safety what research is underway and how that may impact us all. It will also be interesting to hear how this downstream activity could impact the upstream mining exploration, extraction and processing activities of uranium in Europe.  We will also discuss how the perception of the nuclear industry along with mining is changing and why this is a great opportunity for students to build a career in the industry. Interview of Prof Tobias Vraetz from RWTH Aachen University department of Advanced Mineral Processing Technologies.

Today we are talking to Professor Tobias Vraetz at RWTH Aachen University’s department of Advanced Mineral Processing Technologies at the faculty of Geo-resources and Materials Engineering.Tobias recently joined RWTH, so it is a great opportunity to catch up with him and see what he has planned. What research topics he is focused on and where he sees mining education developing in the coming years. It will also be interesting to hear how collaboration with industry is helping to drive research and why Mining and raw material processing is so important for the green transition and meeting the supply needs of future European industrial activity. The Future of mining looks bright. 2025 was a busy year for the European Mining industry.

2025 has been an important year for the mining industry in Europe, the critical raw material act starts to gain some real results, so I'm looking back on 2025 and thinking about what it might mean for the future. Liker at det er både Podcaster (godt utvalg) og lydbøker i samme app, pluss at man kan holde Podcaster og lydbøker atskilt i biblioteket.
Bra app. Oversiktlig og ryddig. MYE bra innhold⭐️⭐️⭐️
