Colum from Dublin wears many hats, he hosts the Irish NFL Show, co-founded the Broncos Europe Fan Group, and has over 15 years of experience working in higher education. He joins us to share his philosophies towards advising (ps, he hosts his own “Adventures in Advising” show), and discusses the unique challenges being a NFL fan in Europe. Hint, has to do with waking up at 3am his time to catch the game!

My good friend and fellow UW-Stout alumni Rachel Pollock joins us this week to talk about mental health. “You do not talk to anyone in your life more than you talk to yourself, so gosh darn it you might as well talk kind to yourself.” She details her philosophy on mental health, self acceptance, gives advice on selecting a therapist, and discusses her own mental health journey, including time spent with a Reiki practitioner and aligning her chakras.

She shares how her research helped with colony collapse disorder and the understanding of varroa mites, addresses misconceptions about bees, and depicts what happens when bees sting.
