The Nest is SPAN’s award-winning gathering for anyone interested in fostering positive transitions in education.  The Nest is hosted by transitions expert Dr. Doug Ota, author of Safe Passage: How Mobility Affects People and What International Schools Should Do About It, the book that gave rise to Safe Passage Across Networks and to mobility-related changes in accreditation standards worldwide.  In the Nest, SPAN creates a place where professionals, parents, and even students can turn to become connected, feel equipped, and get refreshed. The Nest first became a podcast in its seventh season, to make SPAN’s ideas accessible even for people who can’t attend the Nest live.  In Season 7, Dr. Doug drills down to the primary principles on which SPAN bases its work—the “Bedrock Principles” for why SPAN exists.  By listening to the entire Bedrock Principles Series, people can position themselves upon the solid ground needed to address transitions with the best of psychological science and clinical expertise.Future seasons of the Nest are likely to build on these Bedrock ideas.  If you’d like to attend the Nest live, episodes of the live broadcast take place on the first Thursday of the month at 2PM CET and are open to all via SPAN’s website, www.spanschools.org.  Hope to see you there, and glad you found SPAN here.

S7:E5, Bedrock Series Layer 4: The Students

Today we land in the fourth and central layer of bedrock in this seven part series: the students.  Sandwiched right in the middle of all this theory, right in the heart of the bedrock, is the layer that we do it all for: the young people in our charge, whose minds and hearts are being formed on our watch.  This is a special episode where I get the opportunity to interview a young man in front of a live audience, a young man whose story touched me deeply when I first heard it four or five years earlier.  In fact, I think it was the roughest story of mobility and transition I ever heard.  And yet this young man is now doing fine—better than fine, in fact.  Because of the importance of this episode, we dedicated 30minutes longer to it, to do justice to this young man’s story, and all the other stories which remain untold and unheard.  We hope you enjoy this episode.

Liker at det er både Podcaster (godt utvalg) og lydbøker i samme app, pluss at man kan holde Podcaster og lydbøker atskilt i biblioteket.
Bra app. Oversiktlig og ryddig. MYE bra innhold⭐️⭐️⭐️
