Les mer The Ordinary Way: Life and Holiness

The Ordinary Way: Life and Holiness was created out of a shared pastoral calling to help people connect Scripture with the realities of everyday life. We have sat with people in moments of deep faith and deep struggle, hospital rooms, kitchen tables, sanctuaries, and quiet conversations filled with honest questions. We are shaped by the Methodist tradition, particularly its emphasis on grace, community, and holiness of heart and life. For us holiness is about becoming more fully who God created us to be, loving God, and loving neighbor in tangible, embodied ways. This podcast is not about having all the answers. It is about walking together, asking faithful questions, and learning how the teachings of Jesus shape how we live, work, rest, forgive, and hope. We aim to be thoughtful without being academic, faithful without being rigid, and honest without losing hope.

episode Starving for More cover

Starving for More

Many Christians genuinely believe in God but still feel spiritually dry. In this episode, we explore why so many of us hunger naturally for entertainment, distraction, affirmation, and noise while struggling to hunger for God. We talk about: * How distraction reshapes our desires * Why constant stimulation weakens spiritual sensitivity * The connection between silence and spiritual awareness * What to do during seasons of spiritual dryness * How spiritual hunger can actually be cultivated over time Because appetite is shaped by what we consistently consume. This conversation is practical, honest, and deeply relevant for anyone who feels spiritually numb, distracted, or disconnected. Real hunger for God rarely appears overnight. It grows slowly through: * Consistent exposure to His presence * Feeding on His word * Honest prayer * Removing distractions * Community and obedience Because the more we pursue God, the more we realize He was already pursuing us. 🎧 Thanks for joining us for this episode of The Ordinary Way Podcast.

Unbelief in Disguise

Many of us trust God with eternity but we can live disconnected from Him in our everyday lives. In this episode, we wrestle with a hard question: Is it possible to believe in heaven, but not actually want God? We explore the difference between transactional faith and relational faith, and how easy it is to reduce Christianity to a one-time decision instead of an ongoing relationship. We talk about: * Why we trust God for the future but struggle to trust Him today * Signs we may be disconnected from God in daily life * The difference between spiritual struggle and indifference * How our practices reveal what we actually desire * Why eternal life isn’t just a destination—but a relationship Because the question isn’t just: Do we believe in God? It’s: Do we actually want Him?

episode Multiplication Is The Mission: Moving Beyond the Walls cover

Multiplication Is The Mission: Moving Beyond the Walls

Jesus never called His followers to simply gather, He called them to multiply. In this episode, we take a hard look at what it really means to move beyond the walls of the church and into a life of multiplication. Not just growing attendance, but making disciples who make disciples. We talk through: * The difference between addition and true multiplication * Why most churches unintentionally settle for growth that doesn’t reproduce * Barriers that keep churches from reaching beyond themselves * Why conversion growth is so rare and what that reveals * The tension between comfort and mission We also share real experiences that tells how small things can either invite people in or push them away. Because the question isn’t just: Are we growing? It’s: What kind of growth are we actually seeing? Multiplication isn’t about doing more. It’s about becoming something different.

Liker at det er både Podcaster (godt utvalg) og lydbøker i samme app, pluss at man kan holde Podcaster og lydbøker atskilt i biblioteket.
