Episode 5 - Lala Inky
Welcome to Episode 5 of The Pod Social!
Episode 5 features tattoo artist, and self-proclaimed hermit crab, Lala Inky. Residing in the south of Wales, La has inflicted varying degrees of pain upon me over the last few years and I wouldn't have it any other way! For some examples of her incredible artwork, and to get a better insight into her personality too, head on over to her Instagram [https://www.instagram.com/lala_inky/] page.
Our conversation went into how she got into tattooing, mental health, online suicide, arsehole cats, therapy, sunsets, Taylor Swift - and more! This episode is really worth the listen: Lala is a lot more interesting than I am...
Mental health, or - more accurately - mental candidness, played a large part in our discussion, and this seems to be a running theme when it comes to talking about Social Media. The impact that social media has had on La, and tattooing in general is clearly a big one, and we go into detail about it's effects, it's positives and it's negatives.
We also speak about her blog, Confessions of an Auteetotal Tattooer [https://ebonysquid.com/blog/], which covers mental health, addiction, sobriety, autism, relationships and so much more. I would highly recommend having a read, particularly if anything we spoke about in this episode has affected you. Click on the links at the bottom for the individual posts.
I would like to thank Lala for being part of The Pod Social, and hopefully we'll be able to get a follow up arranged too!
