Making sense of the horse world through science, literature, the arts, and more. We are Taylor and Christa Culbert, sisters working with horses on opposite coasts of the United States and having interesting conversations about horses on a near-daily basis! Through this podcast, we explore what critical thinking looks like in the horse world. Where do we get our information? How do we interpret it? How do other disciplines contribute to our understanding of horses? As we explore these concepts and more, our focus is always on listening and compassion toward humans and horses.

In Conversation with Dr. Kelsey Dale John (Diné)

Kelsey Dayle John (Diné) is an enrolled citizen of the Navajo Nation and an Assistant Professor in the Department of Ethnic Studies at the University of Colorado Boulder. Her research is on interspecies learning in Indigenous communities, Native American & Indigenous studies, and equine-assisted services. In this conversation, Kelsey shares with us her personal experience and relationship with horses, and shares her research. We discuss Indigenous vs. Western worldviews, where non-Indigenous people fit into the relationship with Native knowledge and worldviews, horses as part of the colonial narrative, and how history and cultural belief systems shape our interactions with humans, land, animals, and horses. Liker at det er både Podcaster (godt utvalg) og lydbøker i samme app, pluss at man kan holde Podcaster og lydbøker atskilt i biblioteket.
Bra app. Oversiktlig og ryddig. MYE bra innhold⭐️⭐️⭐️
