episode The Put it in the Books Show – S9 E8: Bobby V Day, Soto Carries Mets Chaos, West Coast Trip Looming cover

The Put it in the Books Show – S9 E8: Bobby V Day, Soto Carries Mets Chaos, West Coast Trip Looming

The Mets are officially back to being consistent again… unfortunately it’s the bad kind of consistency. After winning 5 of 6 and giving fans a tiny little taste of hope, the Mets responded by immediately losing 5 of 6, including getting swept in Miami by the Marlins — which should honestly qualify as emotional terrorism at this point — and then dropping 2 of 3 at HOME to the Reds because apparently Citi Field is now a charity organization for mediocre baseball teams. So this week, Farace, Rodriguez, and Producer Joe try to figure out whether this team actually has another turnaround in them… or if Mets fans are just being dragged through another 162-game trust exercise. This weekend also brings one of the weirdest and most Mets celebrations imaginable: Bobby Valentine Day. Yes, fans will receive disguises in honor of Bobby V’s legendary fake mustache dugout return, proving once again that no franchise in sports celebrates chaos quite like the Mets. On top of that, the Mets Hall of Fame ceremony honors Carlos Beltran, Lee Mazzilli, and Bobby Valentine himself on Saturday at Citi Field. We’ll also dive into Jose Reyes naming his Top 5 Mets nemesis list and give our own. Braves? Phillies? Chipper Jones? The entire state of Florida? We’re opening old wounds tonight.Meanwhile, Juan Soto has basically become the entire offense by himself, smashing 8 home runs over his last 12 games while the rest of the lineup occasionally shows up like substitute teachers. If Soto cools off for even 48 hours, somebody may need to legally classify this offense as missing persons. On the pitching side, McLean has hit a rough patch, and the Mets continue struggling with consistency from both the rotation and bullpen. Yet somehow… despite all the frustration, this team currently has the SAME record as the 2024 Mets team that finished with 89 wins. So now the question becomes: does this roster actually have another run in them or are we all just coping? We’ll also get into early trade deadline chatter after Jon Heyman said he wouldn’t be shocked if the Mets eventually consider moving Francisco Lindor. Mets Twitter handled that news very calmly and rationally of course. Definitely no overreactions there.Plus:* Opening Day Mets baseball card set opening* Grading the Opening Day roster* Producer Joe preparing emotionally for ANOTHER west coast trip because apparently MLB thinks the Mets live in California now* And the show’s long-standing goal remains the same: get this team back to .500 by the All-Star break… even if fans have every right to still be furious watching this team lose to bad baseball clubs.Next up: 3 against the Marlins at Citi Field before heading to Seattle and San Diego for what feels like the 800th west coast trip of the season.Baseball. Chaos. Sarcasm. Soundboard abuse. Mets pain.Just another episode of The Put it in the Books Show.LGM.#PiitB #Mets

episode Am I On The Air? #232 - Aww...So Cute! cover

Am I On The Air? #232 - Aww...So Cute!

Season 31, Episode 25 – Aww…So Cute! Hosted by: DONMEGA DONMEGA is back with another loaded episode of Am I On The Air?, covering all the biggest entertainment stories from May 20 through May 26. This marks Episode #232 on the PopCulturePros Network, which means while Hollywood keeps reviving old franchises every few months, DONMEGA keeps proving consistency might actually be the rarest thing in entertainment. On the movie side, the biggest spotlight in the galaxy belongs to The Mandalorian and Grogu, as Star Wars finally returns to theaters for the first time in seven years. DONMEGA breaks down the return of Din Djarin and everyone’s favorite tiny chaos goblin Grogu, while discussing what this movie means for the future of Star Wars on the big screen. Because after years of streaming series, spin-offs, timelines, side quests, and enough lore videos to require homework, Lucasfilm is finally back in theaters hoping audiences still remember where the popcorn machines are. Meanwhile, horror gets another major franchise revival with director Lee Cronin taking on The Mummy. DONMEGA dives into the darker tone, updated mythology, and scares while figuring out whether this fresh reboot successfully brings the iconic monster back to life… or just unwraps another cursed franchise experiment Hollywood couldn’t resist touching. TV stays busy too, with the debut of Nemesis, the latest new series trying to carve out its place in the increasingly crowded streaming battlefield. DONMEGA shares first impressions and whether this one has real breakout potential or might quietly disappear into the content void three weeks from now. Comedy also gets some spotlight as comedian Josh Johnson brings his latest stand-up special Symphony to audiences, and DONMEGA breaks down the biggest laughs, standout moments, and what makes the special hit. And finally, it’s time to say goodbye to The Boys. One of television’s wildest, bloodiest, and most aggressively unfiltered shows reaches its series finale, and DONMEGA gives his full thoughts on whether the show actually sticks the landing after years of superhero chaos, exploding heads, and enough uncomfortable moments to permanently traumatize HR departments everywhere. Blockbusters, horror reboots, comedy specials, streaming premieres, and major finales, Aww…So Cute! delivers another week of sharp takes, veteran insight, and just enough sarcasm to keep things grounded in a world where every franchise is apparently immortal.

episode Granny's Peach Tea: Episode 234 cover

Granny's Peach Tea: Episode 234

Granny’s Peach Tea – Episode 234: Supes, Spoilers, and Special Guest Tim Granny’s Peach Tea is back with Episode 234, and this one is going full spoiler mode. Ed and Jason dive into their spoiler discussion of The Boys Season 5 finale, which also serves as the series finale. That means no dancing around the big moments, no pretending they “might talk about it,” and definitely no safe little spoiler-free corner for people who somehow clicked on a finale discussion without watching the finale. The guys break down the end of The Boys, the chaos, the carnage, the characters who made it out, the ones who probably deserved worse, and whether the finale stuck the landing or flew straight through a wall like Homelander having a normal Tuesday. Then Tim joins the show as a special guest to talk The Mandalorian and Grogu, because apparently Granny’s Peach Tea decided one major geek-culture discussion wasn’t enough. The conversation shifts from corrupt superheroes and bloody finales to Star Wars, Din Djarin, Grogu, and the return of one of the galaxy’s favorite tiny green merch machines. It’s spoilers, Star Wars, The Boys, Tim dropping in, Ed and Jason doing what they do, and probably enough nerd debate to make the internet argue with itself for another week. #TheBoys #TheBoysFinale #StarWars #TheMandalorianAndGrogu #GrannysPeachTea #PopCulturePros

episode The Empire 161 Show S7 E10: Jays, Rays & Some Royals cover

The Empire 161 Show S7 E10: Jays, Rays & Some Royals

The Empire 161 Show – Season 7 Episode 10: Homestand Headaches and KC Payback Ed and Lyssa are back for Season 7 Episode 10 of The Empire 161 Show, and this week the Yankees gave them plenty to sort through, because apparently just having a normal, stress-free stretch of baseball was never on the menu. The episode starts with a recap of the Yankees’ homestand against the Blue Jays and Rays, a stretch that brought plenty of frustration, missed chances, and just enough “what are we doing here?” energy to make every Yankees fan pace around the room like it’s October already. The Blue Jays came into the Bronx and took back-to-back low-scoring games, while the Rays split their visit, including a Yankees shutout win to stop the bleeding a bit. Then it’s off to Kansas City, where the Yankees finally started looking like a team that remembered hitting is allowed. Ed and Lyssa break down the early part of the Royals series, including the Yankees taking the opener and then absolutely unloading in Game 2 with a 15-1 win, because nothing says “we’re fine” like waiting until everyone is annoyed before dropping a football score on somebody. They’ll also preview the rest of the Royals series and look at what the Yankees need to clean up moving forward. The pitching, the offense, the bullpen, the vibes, the usual Bronx therapy session — it’s all on the table. Catch Season 7 Episode 10 of The Empire 161 Show as Ed and Lyssa recap the Yankees’ homestand against the Blue Jays and Rays, break down the start of the Kansas City series, and try to figure out whether this team is heating up or just messing with everyone’s blood pressure again. #Yankees #PinstripePride #RepBX #Empire161 #PopCulturePros

episode Am I On The Air? #231 - Grey Area Obsession cover

Am I On The Air? #231 - Grey Area Obsession

Season 31, Episode 24 – Grey Area Obsession Hosted by: DONMEGA DONMEGA is back with another packed episode of Am I On The Air?, covering all the latest entertainment chaos from May 13 through May 19. This marks Episode #231 on the PopCulturePros Network, which means while Hollywood keeps expanding universes, rebooting franchises, and turning every headline into a docuseries, DONMEGA keeps doing what he’s always done—sorting through the noise so you don’t have to. On the movie side, things kick off with In The Grey, the latest action thriller from Guy Ritchie. DONMEGA breaks down the film’s slick style, sharp dialogue, and explosive action while figuring out whether Ritchie adds another winner to his résumé or just gives audiences more stylish people arguing in expensive coats before somebody gets punched. Then it’s time for Obsession, the new horror thriller looking to crawl directly into your watchlist and possibly your nightmares. DONMEGA dives into the tension, scares, and psychological chaos behind the film, breaking down why horror fans may want to keep this one firmly on their radar. Because if movies have taught us anything, it’s that people should really stop ignoring obvious warning signs. TV keeps the momentum rolling this week as the Yellowstone universe expands once again with Dutton Ranch. At this point, Taylor Sheridan might genuinely own more fictional land than some real governors, but DONMEGA checks in with first impressions to see whether this latest spin-off keeps the franchise momentum alive. And over on Netflix, The Crash enters the documentary conversation, digging into the story behind the headlines and aiming to become the latest true-story obsession for streaming audiences. DONMEGA breaks down whether the docuseries actually delivers the depth people are looking for or just rides the wave of internet curiosity. Action, horror, documentaries, spin-offs, and enough streaming content to destroy your sleep schedule, Grey Area Obsession delivers another week of sharp takes, veteran insight, and just enough sarcasm to keep things grounded.
