episode Christianity and Mental Health cover

Christianity and Mental Health

Hello and welcome to the first episode of The Renew Podcast! My name is Marisa.  In today's episode, I discuss what I think are important components to fostering mental health. These include: community, practicing gratitude, holding to truth, self compassion and self care, and rest I also share that there is no shame in asking for professional help as well as considering medications with the help of a doctor/psychiatrist for your mental struggle.  Friend, you are Beloved. Jesus sees you, knows you, loves you, and cares so deeply for you. He is familiar with our suffering, as He suffered Himself. He wants to know you on a personal level. I ecnourage you to come to Him with everything you are burdened with and lay it at His feet. He died for you. He is capable of holding it all, holding you. He is with you always.  I hope this episode encouraged you! If you have any thoughts or questions or ideas for future podcast episodes, feel free to message me on Instagram @therenewpodcast !  I hope to see you next time! episode Food and Body Image with Brittany Braswell, RD cover

Food and Body Image with Brittany Braswell, RD

How can I improve my relationship with food and my body? What are the lies that culture spreads about healthy living? What does the Bible say about body image? In this episode, I sat down with Brittany Braswell RD, a faith-driven nutrition counselor, and we tackled these questions and more Brittany is a wife, momma of 2, Registered Dietitian (RD), and recovery coach on a mission to help women struggling with disordered eating and negative body image, experience the peace that comes when you ditch food rules for good. She uses a faith-centered approach to help her clients overcome the lies they’ve been fed by diet culture and replace them with spiritual truth to rediscover their God-given identity. Both Brittany and I (Marisa) truly hope that this episode is an encouragement to you, and that it reminds you that your value and worth is not determined by how you look or the foods you do (or don't) eat; that true identity can only be found in Christ. Liker at det er både Podcaster (godt utvalg) og lydbøker i samme app, pluss at man kan holde Podcaster og lydbøker atskilt i biblioteket.
Bra app. Oversiktlig og ryddig. MYE bra innhold⭐️⭐️⭐️
