Wondery’s Missing Sister Podcast Exposed: The UK Contract I Was Convinced to Sign

In this video, I explain why the podcast series “The Missing Sister” was quietly removed from Wondery Plus and BBC Sounds, and why I believe I was misled and exploited through what was described to me as a “simple consent form.” I was invited to participate in what I understood to be The Joy Morgan Podcast, a project focused on the tragic murder of Joy Morgan, a 20-year-old midwife student and member of IUIC London whose life was ruthlessly taken by an IUIC London leader. I agreed to be interviewed based on that understanding and was told the document I signed was only permission to use my interview audio. After the podcast aired, I discovered that: - The project was released as “The Missing Sister” on Wondery Plus - The focus shifted away from Joy Morgan’s case to Israel United in Christ (IUIC) - My original 2019 research and YouTube content about IUIC was used in later episodes - I was not credited or compensated for that research  After having a lawyer review the contract, I learned that the agreement contained an extremely broad rights grant, including: - Unlimited, perpetual rights across all media - Waiver of moral rights - No obligation to credit or compensate the contributor - No limits on editing, attribution, or future use This was not how the document was described to me at the time I signed. In this podcast episode Gina Blue (aka Karizma) — a former member of Israel United in Christ (IUIC) — breaks down her shocking experience working with the UK journalists behind the Missing Sister podcast, which was heavily promoted on Wondery+ and BBC Sounds. The Missing Sister podcast claimed to investigate the tragic murder of Joy Morgan, a midwifery student and former IUIC member from the UK who was murdered by IUIC leader Shofah El Israel. Gina gave these journalists deep insight into IUIC, her own background, and how destructive cults operate. But once the podcast dropped, Gina realized she had been blindsided. In Episode 5, The City of Hope, she discovered that her 2019 exposé on IUIC’s leader Bishop Nathanyel was used almost word‑for‑word — without her permission, without credit, and without honesty about where the information came from. The journalists repackaged her work as their own “discovery,” and Gina felt the entire narrative shifted away from telling Joy Morgan’s story. Instead, it became yet another media project profiting off Joy’s murder and the trauma of former IUIC members.
