episode Care options at Ennis Injury Unit cover

Care options at Ennis Injury Unit

In the fourth episode of The UL Hospitals Podcast, we move away from UHL to focus on the Injury Unit at Ennis Hospital. This unit, together with its 'sister' units in Nenagh and St John's Hospitals, provide a swift, efficient Emergency Department-avoidance option for a total of around 40,000 patients every year who need treatment for a range of non-lifethreatening injuries, including breaks, sprains, burns and wounds. But how to know when you can be treated in one of these units, instead of presenting at the region's only ED in UHL? We spoke to: - Dr Cormac Mehigan, Consultant in Emergency Medicine & Lead, Ennis Injury Unit; and - Mhairi Barron, Registered Advanced Nurse Practitioner to find out more Thanks to Cormac and Mhairi for making the time to talk to us. For more guidance on the injuries that can be treated in Injury Units, visit the HSE website here [https://www2.hse.ie/emergencies/when-to-visit-an-injury-unit/#What-injury-units-can-treat]. If you suffer an injury and are in doubt about where you need to go for assistance, staff at any of our Injury Units will be happy to take your phone call. Contact details for the three Injury Units in UL Hospitals Group are available on the HSE website: Ennis Injury Unit, Co Clare - click here [https://www2.hse.ie/services/injury-units/?service_area=Clare] Nenagh Injury Unit, Co Tipperary - click here [https://www2.hse.ie/services/injury-units/?service_area=Tipperary] St John's Injury Unit, Limerick City - click here  [https://www2.hse.ie/services/injury-units/?service_area=Limerick] For more on the refurbishment of Ennis Injury Unit, see here  [https://healthservice.hse.ie/healthcare-delivery/ul-hospitals-group/ulh-blogs/new-and-improved-2m-injury-unit-opens-at-ennis-hospital-today.html] ---------------------------------------- Hosted on Acast. Liker at det er både Podcaster (godt utvalg) og lydbøker i samme app, pluss at man kan holde Podcaster og lydbøker atskilt i biblioteket.
Bra app. Oversiktlig og ryddig. MYE bra innhold⭐️⭐️⭐️
