Les mer Theory of Overcompensation

Every day the news seems to get more and more bleak, and sometimes the study of international relations makes it feel like everything bad is inevitable. Instead of explaining global politics through the typical IR frameworks, like realism, liberalism, constructivism, all of which tend to ignore the psychological dimension of human behavior, we’re taking a new spin. We think that everybody, but world leaders especially, are overcompensating for something, and our mission is to identify – and satirize – what exactly they’re overcompensating for. This is the theory of overcompensation.

Daddy Issues and Rich White Dude Entitlement – Breaking Down how Tulsi Gabbard and Peter Mandelson are Overcompensating

In our inaugural episode, we dive deep into the role Tulsi Gabbard’s insecurities play in her participation in the Trump administration’s investigation of voter fraud from the 2020 election and how Peter Mandelson’s response to being named in the Epstein files, which is playing out in high drama in the UK, is representative of the response of so many of the Epstein class. Join host Julia Gubitosi and guest Ben Larned as they dissect – and let’s be honest, roast – the potential psychological quirks that motivate both Gabbard and Mandelson to overcompensate. “Don’t Miss This: Tulsi Gabbard Edition [https://www.youtube.com/@NYTOpinion/shorts]” from The New York Times “How Tulsi Gabbard Became a Favorite of Russia’s State Media [https://www.nytimes.com/2024/11/18/us/politics/tulsi-gabbard-trump-russia.html#:~:text=No%20evidence%20has%20emerged%20that%20she%20has,to%20the%20exercise%20of%20American%20military%20power%5C]” from The New York Times “Peter Mandelson Refuses to Apologise for Association with Jeffrey Epstein [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7oNXvXuf3nY]" from The Daily Record “Epstein kept me ‘separate’ from his sexual side because I’m gay, Mandelson tells BBC [https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cd9el4dw0z3o]” from the BBC

Liker at det er både Podcaster (godt utvalg) og lydbøker i samme app, pluss at man kan holde Podcaster og lydbøker atskilt i biblioteket.
