Hello hello there everybody, and welcome back to another episode of Surviving the Horror. This month, Josh and Colin are joined by resident lore expert for all things Dead Space, Kevin from the PlayStation Plus Game Club! Kevin is a massive fan of the Dead Space series in general, and after recording the episode last July on Dead Space Remake, it didn't feel right to venture further into the series without his input. The result is that the three of us had an over three hour discussion, breaking down all the important details, subtle audio notes, and larger mechanical trends that are present in Dead Space 2. Dead Space 2 released in January 2011 as the highly anticipated follow up to Visceral's Dead Space. The game sees the continuation of Isaac Clarke's journey following the catastrophic tragedy aboard the Ishimura. From the very beginning of Dead Space 2, Isaac, as well as the player, are thrust into chaos and the unknown as another Necromorph outbreak has seemingly begun aboard The Sprawl, a massive station orbiting the once moon of Saturn, Titan. Due to the size and scope of The Sprawl compared with the Ishimura, everything in Dead Space 2 is cranked up to eleven. The mystery, the action, the set pieces, and indeed the lore are all expanded upon greatly. Just why is Isaac in a straight jacket upon waking up? What are the four steps to run "the machine" that your companion Stross keeps talking about? Can you truly trust anyone associated with Earth Gov. or The Church of Unitology? Only through quick wits, persistence, and a butt load of ammo will you get the answers. We truly hope that you enjoy this episode, and a special thank you to Kevin for being a part of the show! Next month on Surviving the Horror will be joined by none other than the GreenGorillaGamer to discuss the first entry in the FNAF series. It's going to be a wild ride. Until then take care everyone!

Warmest of welcomes everybody This month on the Mooglecast, Max and Zac are joined by Gary (TheSlyGCooper) for a half (maybe 1/4) failed attempt at a Mooglecast X PlatinumAchievements episode. For the preshow we discussed the streak of sickness over at the plattycheevs and spoke some more about game of the megacast showcase, Zacs Untitled Goose Game sequel. Of course we get into our usual run of the show with Platinum shoutouts and a Resident Evil focused entry of The Record. Although the recommendation was RE4 Remake, the crew had a variety of opinions on the best games to start with in the series. The meat & potatoes for the episode was centred on some of our favourite boss battles across all video games. Complete with a huge amount of audience write ins we had a chance to dive into the the fundimentals of a memorable boss fight and how its not just good combat design or appearance bit rather a collective of equal factors. From One Winged Angels to Dark Alien Kings, From Underworld warriors to OP Wrestlers. We each list 5 of our best and most memorable foes. Relive the nostalgia and frustration. We'll see you in May but until then. Be excellent to eachother. Max P.S We had multiple technical difficulties whilst recording this episode, luckily we caught them all very quickly but we apologise if the talkers full thoughts weren't spoken. Thank you for your understanding.

This time we are highlighting one of the best games of 2018, Celeste. It won awards from multiple outlets that year and has been a part of the gaming zeitgeist for long after that. Celeste has been hailed as one of the best 2D platformers to come out in decades and that’s all because of its classic-looking visual style, beautiful soundtrack, and very poignant story about coping with anxiety and depression. We hope you enjoy our discussion covering everything about Celeste and we tip our hats to the small team of Maddy Makes Games for giving us a wonderful piece of art to love.

Hello hello everyone, and welcome back to another episode of Trophy Talk! Please welcome back for his fourth appearance on the show Patthetrophyhunter. Pat is a long time community member, content creator, and friend of the show and we're always pleased when we get a chance to sit down and discuss trophies and games with him. For this particular episode we chose to discuss a few more nuanced topics that have been kicking around in our brains lately. With the most recent Nintendo Direct and the announcement of Switch 2 it seemed as good a time as any to have a discussion regarding game pricing, and the inevitable effects that inflation is having on our beloved industry. While we use Switch 2 as a jumping off point, we don't speak specifically about that console for long, rather we try and assess what we think the larger video game industry as a whole, and specifically Sony will do with the new information and pricing of Switch 2 games. From there Colin opens a discussion surrounding both Assassin's Creed and Lego games and their respective trophy hunts. With Pat and Josh being massive fans of both franchises it seemed only right to discuss what facets of these games make for compelling trophy hunts, and why both are such great trophy hunting experiences. We also take time in this episode to dig into Pat's newest gaming related hobby, collecting. How does Pat decide which stores or sales to frequent and which lots to buy? Are there specific titles he's looking for more than any others? How does collecting factor into trophy hunting? The topic is a pretty beefy one in the episode and we hope that you find it as interesting to listen to as we did during recording. Lastly we of course touch on the games we've been playing and Platinum's we've earned for the month of March before looking ahead to what April holds. With so many great AAA titles looming just weeks away, is it finally time to say that 2025 being the year of the backlog is done? All of the aforementioned topics plus Platinum Shout Outs, and everything else you've come to expect from Trophy Talk Podcast is right behind the play button. Thank you so much for listening, we hope that you enjoy the episode. Happy Hunting!

For this special 5th Sunday of the month all five of us got together for a special Megacast episode (term coined by Josh) where we make up our own dream Sony showcase. We bring to it some of our dream game ideas for rebooting a number of dead game IPs. Along with us you can imagine what it would be like to see Sony host a blockbuster game showcase on stage like they used to in years past. Many of these might seem like lofty ideas, but this is the showcase of our dreams after all. Over the two and a half hours you’ll hear just some of our ideas come out. Colin takes a beloved IP into an unexpected genre. Josh shocks us with one of the funniest sequels to a favorite series to someone out there (probably). Max points out a few obvious holes in Sony’s current repertoire. Kevin shows that he may be watching a little too much Critical Role. Zac catches us off-guard with a possible horror game that takes a turn we weren’t expecting. And much, much more. We hope you enjoy this episode, and if you do please jump into our Discord and let us know, because we only had time for some of our ideas and this kind of special Megacast could happen again if enough people like the concept. And SIE, we hope you’re listening too.
