Masculinity | A Conversation on Masculinity (part one)

Moment 70 | In this episode I have a dialogue with my friend Leland about the topic of masculinity and what that means to him. I reference insights from All About Love by bell hooks while exploring masculinity, desire, and modern relationships. _______Sources: https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/the-asymmetric-brain/202601/good-news-study-shows-that-most-men-are-not-toxic [https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/the-asymmetric-brain/202601/good-news-study-shows-that-most-men-are-not-toxic]https://nypost.com/2024/03/05/lifestyle/half-of-men-feel-pressured-to-act-manly/ [https://nypost.com/2024/03/05/lifestyle/half-of-men-feel-pressured-to-act-manly/]https://blackdemographics.com/households/marriage-in-black-america/ [https://blackdemographics.com/households/marriage-in-black-america/]https://jbhe.com/2022/11/the-significant-racial-gap-in-marriage-rates-in-the-united-states/ [https://jbhe.com/2022/11/the-significant-racial-gap-in-marriage-rates-in-the-united-states/]https://nypost.com/2025/01/10/lifestyle/number-of-unpartnered-us-adults-declined-for-first-time-in-nearly-20-years-singledom-has-peaked/ [https://nypost.com/2025/01/10/lifestyle/number-of-unpartnered-us-adults-declined-for-first-time-in-nearly-20-years-singledom-has-peaked/]

episode A moment with Peter Stuart cover

A moment with Peter Stuart

Moment 68 | In this episode we have a conversation with Peter Stuart, RMT.Peter graduated from the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy in 1993 and has since dedicated his career to helping people overcome chronic pain. With over 30,000 hours of clinical experience, his work focuses primarily on a light-touch, intuitive approach to myofascial release.Early in his career, while working with Dr. Stuart Donaldson, Ph.D., at Myosymmetries—a chronic pain research and treatment facility in Calgary—Peter discovered the profound effectiveness of gentle myofascial techniques. This experience reshaped his understanding of pain and healing, inspiring a lifelong pursuit of knowledge about fascia and whole-person therapy.Drawing from decades of study with leading researchers and mentors, Peter developed an integrative approach that addresses not only physical dysfunction but the emotional and energetic dimensions of pain. His own experiences of recovery and healing have deepened his empathy and connection with those he treats. For over 30 years, Peter has also been an educator, teaching anatomy, physiology, and myofascial release. He believes education is central to healing—both for practitioners and patients alike. By helping patients understand their bodies and actively participate in their recovery, Peter empowers them to achieve meaningful, lasting change.Through his heart-centered approach, Peter continues to bring hope and transformation to those who once believed they had reached the limits of healing—and remains deeply grateful for the inspiration his patients provide.———Card Pull: Inner peace doesn't come from getting what we want, but from remembering who we are. – Marianne Williamson

Liker at det er både Podcaster (godt utvalg) og lydbøker i samme app, pluss at man kan holde Podcaster og lydbøker atskilt i biblioteket.
Bra app. Oversiktlig og ryddig. MYE bra innhold⭐️⭐️⭐️
