“What’s The Word?” With Ashleigh Daniel

The word is: Break

Gimme a Break, (like Nell Carter told us), if you are going to sit there and tell me that you’ve never broken down… or wanted to break up with someone or something, immediately. Breaking the law, or the rules, or a habit…might be just the break we need before we all take that big break from everything.

The word is: Work

Whether it is a J.O.B., a legacy of creativity, a little nip and a tuck, or the truth about whether or not something is “working”….there will ALWAYS be something to work on, in multiple areas of our lives.

The word is: Hot.

Food, weather, music and colors can all be hot. I’m not sure what’s hotter, a mic in a reality show bathroom or David Lee Roth in the 80s. Luckily, there’s no competition when everything is hot.

The word is: Clean

“To clean or to be cleaned?”…that is the question, every day of our lives, if we want to live in a perpetually clean life. Between cleaning up our explicit language, to navigating this world with a clean conscience, the challenge and demand of being clean everywhere we go…follows us around our whole lives.

The word is: Party

The word “party” could describe a person, an event, or an entire group’s philosophy. A party can revolve around booze and drugs, or it can be a quiet lunch by a window with a book. What kind of party is your favorite “party”? What’s your favorite song about a party?
