Chatting with Claire Tomkins: Your Origin Story

Hello, and welcome to Wild Wellness Moments Podcast on Substack, with me Rachel Hewitt — I am a holistic wellness coach, treatment therapist, and retreat facilitator. Today we have a very special guest, please welcome the wonderful Claire Tomkins [https://substack.com/profile/91739830-claire-tomkins] from the substack publication ‘At Heart’. I originally connected with Claire on substack through another amazing community we are both part of there called ‘Sparkle on Substack’ by Claire Venus ✨ [https://substack.com/profile/8406699-claire-venus] . Originally a lawyer, Claire now has an amazing story coaching business called five rubies. Supporting people to tap into and communicate their origin story. Claire is also an avid runner and shares her love of this woven into her posts online. I have taken one of Claire’s workshops and it was so powerful. It helped me find a voice to some of my origin stories, and continues to influense my writing. As Claire says ‘Your voice matters!’ I asked Claire towards the end “What is one sentence of wild wellness wisdom you would like to share with the listeners.” Claire - “I think the first thing is, which underpins everything I do, you matter, your voice matters, and so you here is your permission to nurture it for your benefit and for other people’s benefit. So that’s one thing. And then the other thing that pops into my head. I’m in the process of tweaking and changing and pivoting a little bit in my business and I’ve been asking myself the question ‘what lights me up’ quite a lot because I find that so centering and helps me focus. It reminds me of a quote that I’ve read that somebody posted the other day, probably on Substack, it’s by a guy called Howard Thurman and he said ‘don’t ask what the world needs ask what makes you come alive and go do it, because what the world needs is people who have come alive.’ And I really like that because I think so often we’re we focus particularly as business owners about you know what what kind of the other people need and that is important, but actually what what makes you come alive, what lights you up? Because not only will you do that brilliantly, but also you’ll feel the best, you’ll feel you know the the wellest version of yourself doing that.” 🤍 It is such an honour to have you here on the podcast today Claire, thank you for joining! Connect with Claire: Website - Five Rubies [https://www.fiverubies.co.uk/] Claire’s lovely Substack Community - At Heart [https://substack.com/@clairetomkins?r=2qke3i&utm_campaign=profile&utm_medium=profile-page] 🤍 I began my journey on Substack a couple of years ago, and the Wild Wellness Moments publication was born last year as a way to build a deeper connection with my community — first for those who had journeyed with me through retreats, and also for a wider global community seeking a more holistic approach in christian or faith wellbeing. Wild Wellness grew out of my own personal journey — emotionally, physically, and spiritually. It’s a space where we gently open up conversations around wellness, wellbeing, and God, and explore how deeply entwined they truly are. In this podcast, we’ll explore reflections on wellbeing and faith, and I’ll also be joined by guests from the wellness world who will share their own stories — how they connect with wellbeing, and how God fits into their practice and lives within that. Welcome lovelies, grab a hot drink, sit back relax and enjoy. I’m so glad you’re here. Liker at det er både Podcaster (godt utvalg) og lydbøker i samme app, pluss at man kan holde Podcaster og lydbøker atskilt i biblioteket.
Bra app. Oversiktlig og ryddig. MYE bra innhold⭐️⭐️⭐️
