episode Sowing the Seeds of Our Future cover

Sowing the Seeds of Our Future

Today we explore what it really means to plan(t) our future. We chat about the seeds we drop in our thoughts, our words, and the small ways we move through the day. We look at Nature and how it becomes our teacher, never rushing, never forcing, all unfolding when conditions are just right. Aging invites that same gentleness—an opportunity to soften, to wait, and to trust life’s natural intelligence. We touch on legacy, timing, and the quiet truth that we’re affecting people far more than we realize. And like a seed resting in the dark, we’re alive even when nothing seems to be happening. * We plant seeds every time we speak, think, or interact with someone. * Nature reminds us that real growth has its own timing—no forcing, no rushing. * Each seed has its own journey, just like each of us. * Presence opens a sense of timelessness that many of us feel inside. * Our subtle intentions often shape more than our actions do. * Some seeds take years to sprout; readiness matters. * Aging gives us space to soften and learn patience. * Legacy is planting seeds in a garden we may never personally see. * Trying to control life is like pulling on your own hair and expecting it to grow. * You’re influencing people in ways you may never fully know. * A seed knows how to wait, and so do we—even when things look still on the surface. The Power of Rituals

In this episode of WO50: Women Over 50 Inbody Wisdom & Wellness, we explore the everyday rituals that shape our lives. From the quiet comfort of morning coffee or tea to the winding down of an evening routine, we discuss the difference between habits and rituals—and how adding a sense of ceremony can bring presence, meaning, and mindfulness to even the simplest moments. When life runs on autopilot, joy slips away. True ritual calls us into the now, reconnecting us with ourselves and with everything around us. After all, nothing is special—unless we make it special. Join us as we reflect on the power of ritual to anchor us in presence, nurture connection, and transform the ordinary into the extraordinary. episode Queen of the Fret Board with Ellen Britton cover

Queen of the Fret Board with Ellen Britton

Today we chat with Ellen Britton who is a beautiful wise woman, a well known singer-songwriter, guitarist to many of the stars in Nashville and also in our humble opinion, the best guitar teacher around! This a lively and enlightening conversation where we cover many topics. Ellen thinks that being on the planet for 70 years gives her insights but we argue that she always has been a wise, talented, patient and overall special human being. Ellen shares her unique perspective that her role as a teacher is to be sensitive to the vulnerability of learning. Her goal is to share the truth in a helpful way. Truth and kindness are her philosophy. As a guitar teacher, she is patient and encouraging and offers lessons at all levels of players. She is positive but not in a condescending way. She feels that part of her role is to re-balance the natural insecurity that happens in the learning process. We learn best when we are relaxed and at ease and so to create a positive feeling to help her students feel more open is a big part of Ellen’s approach. A good life philosophy is to see what is working in life, rather then what is not working and to support rather than push down. Just because you think or believe something, doesn’t make it so. There is an inner critic that is talking inside the head and so Ellen feels her approach is to be the opposite. ELLEN BRITTON is a veteran musician with decades of performing, writing, recording, and teaching experience. Touring with Martina McBride, Pam Tillis, Jo Dee Messina, Sara Evans, Lari White, Maura O’Connell, Tanya Tucker, and appearances on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Late Night with Conan O’Brien, The View, The Rosie O’Donnell Show, and The Today Show, Ellen is the quintessential Nashville musician. Moreover she is a thoughtful and smart woman making her a wise women who’s voice can only serve us in the most positive way.  Moreover she is a thoughtful and smart, making her a wise women who’s voice on this episode and in the world can only serve us in the most positive way. Healing Our Mother Wounds with Jana Harper

Jana opens up about the profound experience of being with her mother during her final months. She shares the challenges, the healing, and the transformation that unfolded between herself and her vibrant, complex mother. Despite having many reasons to feel anger, Jana discovered that loving her mother was ultimately easier and more healing than holding onto resentment. Jana discusses the powerful role that Internal Family Systems (IFS)/Parts Work has played in her journey. She reflects on the dysfunction and abuse she endured as a child, her mother’s inability to care for her, and the unique pain of having a mother who was seen as a ‘guru’ by many, yet struggled deeply in her role as a parent. Through exploring her family history and lineage, Jana has gained a deeper understanding of both her mother and herself. The conversation also touches on: *The importance of intuition and learning to trust your own voice *The fear of being seen and heard *How singing lessons have become a part of Jana’s healing process *The joy and connection she felt as her voice began to open, sensing her mother’s happiness in that moment This episode is a heartfelt exploration of healing, self-discovery, and the courage it takes to break cycles and reclaim your voice. episode Redirect the Eye - Notice the Good cover

Redirect the Eye - Notice the Good

You may not have control over everything in your life, but you always have control over what you focus on and what you choose to believe. Your perspective is uniquely yours. When you realize that everyone has a different point of view—a different seat in the stadium—you naturally become softer and less controlling. In our culture, we’re addicted to comfort. This means our “discomfort muscle” isn’t always strong. When you find yourself in uncomfortable situations, ask: What do I know for sure? You’ll discover that, in truth, we don’t know much for certain—except for this present moment. Often, the things we worry about or plan to do never actually happen. Many people ask, “Why is this happening to me?” Try shifting your mindset to: Life isn’t happening to me, it’s happening for me. There’s a saying:: What you focus on grows. I also like:: What you focus on comes into focus. And remember: The harder you grip, the more you slip. It’s not just about seeing the positive or the glass half full. It’s about clarity—seeing things exactly as they are, and recognizing what is alive and true right now. A favorite quote from Maya Angelou: “If you can’t change something, change your attitude about it.” Find Eddi and Corrine online: FB: https://www.facebook.com/EddiKenny,  https://www.facebook.com/corrineblissed Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/corrine_champigny/, https://www.instagram.com/healthyeddi/ https://blissed.com/, https://corrinechampigny.com,  https://theivyhouse.org/ https://www.dreddikenny.ca/ [https://www.dreddikenny.ca/]

Liker at det er både Podcaster (godt utvalg) og lydbøker i samme app, pluss at man kan holde Podcaster og lydbøker atskilt i biblioteket.
Bra app. Oversiktlig og ryddig. MYE bra innhold⭐️⭐️⭐️
