Follow the journey: @desireescoleman. About Danielle:Danielle Wiggins is a journalist at WKYC Studios 3News, the NBC affiliate in Cleveland, Ohio. She holds both a bachelor's degree in broadcast journalism and masters degree in media management from Kent State University. Danielle was recently promoted from morning traffic reporter to multi-platform anchor. In her new role, Danielle co-anchors the 4:30 half hour of the Go! morning show, reports traffic and trending news and anchors news updates across the station's digital and social platforms. Danielle's specialty is reporting on how humanity overcomes adversity. In 2018, Danielle won a regional Emmy Award and a Salute to Excellence Award from the National Association of Black Journalists for her coverage of a teen with cerebral palsy who dreamed of playing organized basketball. Before WKYC, Danielle was the main producer and correspondent for the Regina Brett Show at WKSU, an NPR affiliate. Under Danielle´s leadership, the show won an Ohio Excellence in Journalism award for best radio show. Danielle started her career in production roles at the ABC and CBS affiliates in Cleveland.
