Rethinking "Vibe" Rhetoric and Responding to a "Negative" World

There have been a number of changes in the last few months that seem to a) demonstrate an openness in culture toward Christianity and b) an alignment with some aspects of Christian morality. Given these trends, how should we think about our place in a "negative" world? How should we respond given these realities? What does discipleship look like in a culture that's no longer predominantly Christian? Wyatt Graham, Andrew Noble, and Phil Cotnoir discuss. Wyatt Graham is the Executive Director of The Davenant Institute, the part-time Editor in Chief of The Gospel Coalition Canada, (Adjunct) Professor (Redeemer, Heritage, Ryle), and the cohost of Into Theology. episode The Image of God in a Technological Age cover

The Image of God in a Technological Age

Defining the image of God? It is best to include both the ontological aspect (the being) and the functional aspect (living in that identity). The functional aspect, due to the Fall, is damaged. But the ontological aspect is not since we remain in the essence of the image. In our technological age, we build digital images. We focus on efficiency. We think of men as machines. And in Canada, we face particular challenges to the dignity of people regardless of if they are functionally effective. This episode analyses some aspects of the image of God and how it relates to our technological age. 0:00 - Defining the Image of God and background to Kilner's Dignity and Destiny 11:55 - Tech's influence 15:40 - Bible, image, and social media

Liker at det er både Podcaster (godt utvalg) og lydbøker i samme app, pluss at man kan holde Podcaster og lydbøker atskilt i biblioteket.
Bra app. Oversiktlig og ryddig. MYE bra innhold⭐️⭐️⭐️
