Build The Song is a Podcast hosted by Robbie Silverarm on a cool, old 1970 Yacht in Downtown Honolulu. He helps Songwriting Creators get fired-up to create more music. He has a way of getting everybody inspired⏤ especially those struggling in their songwriting process. Robbie grew up learning to sing and play guitar from Chris Cornell, of Soundgarden. In this episode I describe how that song writers have a often limited themselves by thinking they have to be so raw and real with their emotions and their experiences as they incorporate them into songwriting. Each time you write a song that has depressing lyrics, you will have to revisit those same emotions every time you sing that song. If you’re writing a song about your old boyfriend… what about when the new boyfriend comes, how is that going to feel? You’re the artist. You can paint whatever you want.
