Tiffany (single mom, prayer warrior, plant assassin) and Summer (married-for-decades, new-ish grandma with “Resisting Blessings Face”) bring unfiltered convos about faith, family, and life’s beautiful mess. Expect laughter, hope, and the kind of honest chats that feel like therapy and a coffee date rolled into one. Prayer Requests & Questions: connect@differentpodcast.com

episode Kingdom Over Clarity artwork

Kingdom Over Clarity

Tiffany returns after an extended break during Lent to talk honestly about what it looks like to follow Jesus when life feels uncertain. From personal struggles and internal wrestling to learning how to surrender control, this episode dives into the tension between wanting clarity and choosing trust instead. Through Luke 12:32, Tiffany reflects on the breathtaking truth that the Father delights to give His children the Kingdom—not comfort, control, or perfect understanding, but righteousness, peace, and joy through the Holy Spirit. This episode is a reminder that sanctification is a process, obedience matters, conviction is not condemnation, and God is still faithful even when we don’t fully understand where He’s leading us. SCRIPTURE REFERENCES: • Luke 12:32 • Romans 14:17 • 2 Corinthians 5:7 • Ephesians 4 • 2 Chronicles 16:9 TOPICS COVERED: • Trusting God without clarity • Resting under the Lord’s wings • Sanctification and daily surrender • Wrestling with fear, control, and sexual sin • Conviction vs condemnation • What the Kingdom of God actually is • Learning obedience without shame • Having a “shema” heart toward God QUOTE FROM THIS EPISODE: “Sometimes God withholds clarity because trust cannot grow where certainty controls everything.” FINAL REFLECTION: Is your heart in a posture to shema—ready to listen deeply and respond fully, no matter the cost?

episode Still waiting. Still faithful. Still tired. artwork

Still waiting. Still faithful. Still tired.

What do you do when you’re still waiting… still trusting God… and still exhausted? In this solo episode, Summer opens up about a season that doesn’t have a neat ending yet. A place where God’s presence is real—but the breakthrough hasn’t come. Where faithfulness isn’t loud or triumphant… it’s quiet, steady, and sometimes really, really tired. Through the stories of Hagar in the desert, the woman with the issue of blood, the bent-over woman, and the woman at the well, we see a pattern:Jesus meets people at the end of themselves. Not when they have it all together. Not when their faith feels strong. But when they’ve run out. This episode isn’t about having answers. It’s about staying… even when you don’t. If you’ve ever felt stuck between promise and fulfillment…if you’ve prayed “God, take this away” and nothing changed…if you’re doing your best to hold on but feel like you’re running on empty— You’re not alone. And you’re not unseen. 🔑 What We Talk About * Living in the tension of God’s favor without fulfillment yet * Feeling like Joseph in the prison—called, but still waiting * The moment when strength runs out… and faith is all that’s left * How Jesus consistently shows up at the breaking point * Why asking God to “take it away” doesn’t make you weak—it makes you human * Choosing to stay faithful when nothing is changing 📖 Scripture References * Mark 5:25–34 — reaching for Jesus when nothing else worked * Genesis 21:14–19 — being met by God in complete exhaustion * Luke 13:10–13 — when you can’t straighten yourself out * John 4:1–26 — empty cycles and living water * Matthew 26:39 — “let this cup pass…” * Genesis 39–40 — favor in the waiting 🧠 Takeaway The end of your strength is not the end of your story. It might just be where Jesus meets you. 🤍 A Prayer for This Season Jesus, for the one who feels like they’re out of strength… out of answers… out of hope—meet them right there. Not when they’ve cleaned it up.Not when they feel strong again. But in the middle of the exhaustion. Remind them that being tired doesn’t mean You’ve left. And waiting doesn’t mean You’ve forgotten. Give them just enough strength to stay.Amen. 🎙️ Closing Thought If all you can do right now is stay…stay. He shows up there too.

episode Starving While Holding Bread artwork

Starving While Holding Bread

Forgiveness is one of the most talked-about—and most misunderstood—parts of faith. It’s not pretending it didn’t hurt. It’s not saying what they did was okay. And it’s definitely not giving people access back into your life. So what is it? In this episode, Summer unpacks the truth about forgiveness—not as a feeling, but as a decision that leads to freedom. From the Lord’s Prayer to the cross, we see that forgiveness isn’t just something Jesus taught… it’s something He embodied. There’s a deeper connection woven through Scripture—between bread, wholeness, and forgiveness—that reveals something powerful: You can’t walk in fullness while withholding forgiveness. If you’ve been stuck, weighed down, or replaying the same hurt on repeat… this conversation is your invitation to release what you were never meant to carry. 🔑 KEY TAKEAWAYS * Forgiveness is a decision, not a feeling * Forgiveness does not excuse harm or remove accountability * You can forgive someone without reconciling with them * Holding onto offense keeps you bound—not them * Jesus didn’t just teach forgiveness—He modeled it completely * Wholeness and forgiveness are deeply connected * You cannot fully receive what you refuse to give 📖 SCRIPTURE REFERENCES * Matthew 18:21–22 — Forgiving “70 x 7” * Luke 23:34 — “Father, forgive them…” * Matthew 6:11–12 — Daily bread and forgiveness * John 6:35 — “I am the bread of life” * Who am I still holding onto? * What pain am I replaying instead of releasing? * Have I confused forgiveness with reconciliation? * What would freedom actually look like in this situation? 🪞 REFLECTION QUESTIONS 1. Name the offense — be honest about what hurt 2. Make the decision — don’t wait for the feeling 3. Release it in prayer — say it out loud if needed 4. Repeat as necessary — forgiveness is often a process 🔥 QUOTABLE MOMENTS * “Forgiveness doesn’t excuse them—it frees you.” * “You’re not stuck because of what they did—you’re stuck because of what you won’t release.” * “You can forgive someone and still lock the door.” * “Withholding forgiveness is like holding bread and refusing to feed.” * “If you want to be whole, you have to let it go.”

episode A Bow's Throw Away artwork

A Bow's Throw Away

🎙️ A Bow’s Throw Away Everyone talks about surrender… until it actually costs something. In this solo episode, Summer explores what surrender really looks like—not the polished, powerful version we often hear about, but the kind that happens when you’ve run out of strength, answers, and resources. Through the story of Hagar in Genesis 21, we see a mother in the wilderness who reaches the end of herself—only to discover that God meets her there. What looked like the end was actually the place where God opened her eyes to what had been there all along. This episode also reflects on the surrender of Jesus on the cross and the healing of the bent woman in Luke 13, reminding us that surrender isn’t weakness—it’s alignment. It’s releasing control, letting go of the need to figure everything out, and trusting God with what we were never meant to carry. Surrender isn’t the end of your story. It’s where transformation begins. If you’ve been holding on tightly, trying to keep it all together… this episode is your invitation to open your hands and trust Him. “Lord, I trust You.” • Genesis 21:14–19 (Hagar and Ishmael in the wilderness) • Luke 13:10–13 (The bent woman healed) • Mark 15:39 (Jesus’ surrender on the cross) • Surrender is aligning your will with God’s • It’s releasing control over outcomes and circumstances • You don’t have to prove yourself to God • You don’t have to have everything figured out • God meets us in the place where we finally let go • Sometimes the provision is already there—we just need God to open our eyes We’d love to hear what this episode stirred in you. episode We are Barabbas artwork

We are Barabbas

🎙️ We Are Barabbas Three men. One cross. Three responses to Jesus. In this solo episode, Summer walks through the powerful contrast between Barabbas, Judas, and Simon of Cyrene — the guilty man set free, the disciple who betrayed, and the stranger who carried the cross. Barabbas was a criminal. A murderer. An insurrectionist. Rome had already written his death sentence. Yet the crowd chose to release him — and Jesus took his place. Judas walked closely with Jesus, witnessed miracles, and still chose silver over surrender. His story ended in despair, not because mercy wasn’t available, but because he refused to return to it. Simon of Cyrene was pulled from the crowd and forced to carry Jesus’ cross. What began as an inconvenience became a moment that changed his family’s legacy. His sons are later named in Scripture, hinting at generational faithfulness. But here’s the tension: We don’t know how Barabbas’ story ends. And maybe that’s the point. In prayer, the Holy Spirit revealed something striking — if Scripture told us the ending of Barabbas’ life, it would reveal the fate of every sinner. But the story is left open… because ours is too. We are Barabbas. We are the guilty ones set free. The question is what we choose next. Will we drift into betrayal? Will we surrender and serve? Or will we walk away unchanged? This episode invites you to wrestle with the weight of the exchange that happened at the cross — and to consider what your response will be to the freedom you’ve been given. Scriptures referenced: * Matthew 26–27 * Mark 15:6–21 * Luke 23:18–25 * John 18:40 * Romans 5:8 * 2 Corinthians 5:21 * Galatians 2:20
