This story is told from Shakya's point of view, as she begins a journey into discovering what her skin tone means to her. We delve into why the way we talk about skintone in brown culture is so problematic, and personally the ways in which we talk about skintone can also be an issue. This short episode emcompasses a lot but there is room to expand this conversation , and in a future episode we hope to do just that.
