Broads A-Broad

This episode directly connects to the last one which focused on the 4 Stages of Culture Shock, and, as we discovered, the 4 Stages of Change. Listen as three amazing women from three different continents share their unique stories of navigating new normals and the impact coronavirus has had on their lives, their families, their jobs, and their communities.

This episode breaks down the four stages of culture shock (honeymoon, anxiety, adjustment, acceptance) as they apply to our journeys abroad and to our journeys through change in general. Applicable also to the collective change the world is experiencing through Covid19, we touch on what it means to adjust to new normals, and our strategies to move towards acceptance.

So, while we are all stuck, or as we prefer to call it, 'safe', at home, why not talk about travel, and why not talk about the bravery and exhilaration that comes with being a woman abroad, busting down borders... boundaries... barriers... Travel is high up on both our lists of high 5s abroad, and while we aren't able to do so right now, we can at least talk about it.

So... we had a plan... but as most plans these days, it has been thrown out the window. So here we go. Episode 3... Playing off of one of our low 5s from the last episode: Emergencies Abroad.
