The Town embark on their second longest journey of the season on Wednesday night when they head to the Stadium of Light to take on high flying Sunderland. Kev is joined by The Lutonian journalist James Cunliffe to look ahead to the Town’s first outing in 11 days as they look to get some revenge for the 2-1 loss at Kenilworth Road earlier in the season. Listen in to find out which Sunderland player has been giving Kev nightmares and what other threats the Black Cats have to offer. The attention then turns towards Luton and how Matt Bloomfield might line his side up after the raft of incomings in the final week of the transfer window and what the approach might be for the game. The lads conclude the podcast with the score predictions. Will either back the Hatters to be the first away team to win at the Stadium of Light this season? Kev, James and Tony are back for the second part of the February deep dive and in this part of the podcast the boys take some time to reflect on the players who have left the club in the January transfer window, particularly those who departed on deadline day. The lads then look at whether the squad is good enough to remain in the Championship and whether they are more confident of that happening in light of the January business before some of your comments are reflected on and discussed. The podcast concludes with a reflection on Tony’s time as Trust chairman after he broke the news that he was standing down from the position last weekend. It's a tear-jerker! The transfer window closes at 11pm TONIGHT (Monday February 3) Kev and James look ahead at the potential comings and goings ahead of the deadline. Technically, this is part 2 to the Sheffield Wednesday 1 Luton 1 reaction podcast, so check that out, But there's so much transfer activity to discuss, we made this its own episode. The Town finally ended their run of consecutive defeats on their travels with a 1-1 draw against Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough on Saturday afternoon. Kev is joined by The Lutonian journalist James Cunliffe to rejoice on an elusive away point and to reflect on the good things and the bad things which occurred during the 90 minutes in part one of the podcast. The boys look at the encouraging first half and that wonder strike from Alfie Doughty before discussing the difficulties of the second half but the good qualities the players showed in the face of adversity. Did the lads see enough to suggest that the Town can retain their Championship status? Hear the boys discuss the new signings, how they played, a player who has departed Kenilworth Road, the key men at Hillsborough and listen to the thoughts of Matt Bloomfield.
