Did you know, 3.2 billion people follow the premier league? That’s about 40% of the world’s population That's a ton of money for the league – and a ton of money for the top 6 superclubs – you know the teams - Man City, Liverpool, Man Utd, Chelsea, Arsenal, and Spurs – these are the clubs that get the lion’s share of revenues, approximately 60% of the €500bn in annual revenues. The rest of the league’s 14 other clubs have to share the remaining 40% and while that's not chump change, it does cause concern for the long-term feasibility of our favourite league. And post-pandemic, this revenue inequality and long-term viability of the underdog 14’s is only gonna get worse. I’m your host OC42 – and I launched premierleague.fm to shine a spotlight on the 14 teams that could really do with your support.  I really want to encourage new supporters and new support to the rest of the teams that make up the fast, physical and overall brilliance of the premier league - and hopefully, this’ll result in additional sales of their merch, kits, scarves, etc – you get the concept.
