Andrew Loog Oldham began doing PR for Little Richard, Bob Dylan and The Beatles before discovering, managing and producing The Rolling Stones from 1964-1968. He also launched England's first indie label, Immediate Records. He then went "out to lunch" for 25 years, and upon his return wrote a 3 volume memoir, STONED, 2STONED & STONE FREE and was the lead radio personality on the the Underground Garage channel on SiriusXM for over 10 years. The Sounds and Vision podcast is Andrew's latest creation where he chats with the remarkable men and women he's met along the way who continue to contribute to his remarkable life.

Red has been said to be the first radio disc jockey to play rock n' roll music in Vancouver on CJOR. Robinson was emcee for the Elvis Presley show at Empire Stadium [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Empire_Stadium_(Vancouver)] in Vancouver [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vancouver] in 1957 and for the Beatles [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beatles] in 1964. He also became the program director of two Vancouver radio stations, CFUN [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CFTE] from 1962 to 1968 and CJOR from 1968 to 1970. Red has a book that came out in 2016 called Red Robinson: the Last DeeJay. [https://www.amazon.ca/Red-Robinson-Deejay-Robin-Brunet/dp/1550177699] As emcee of The Beatles' 8/22/1964 concert at the Empire Stadium in Vancouver, he came on the stage during The Beatles portion of the concert and interrupted the show at the behest of Brian Epstein because the crowd was getting too close to the stage. Red was going to make an announcement but before he could, John Lennon told him to "Get the f**k off our stage." On this episode, Andrew sits down with Danny Goldberg who has quite the career in the music business. He's been a personal manager, record company President, public relations man and journalist. Danny is well known for managing the careers of artists such as Nirvana, Hole, Sonic Youth, Bonnie Raitt, The Allman Brothers, Rickie Lee Jones, Steve Earle and more.  Danny has written a number of fantastic books about the music business including: "How The Left Lost Teen Spirit", "Bumping Into Geniuses: My Life Inside The Rock and Roll Business", and ""In Search of The Lost Chord: 1967 and the Hippie Idea." Andrew and Danny take a trip to the beginning of Danny's career and discuss his time working at Billboard and Atlantic Records. They also touch on Danny and Andrew's time working with the members of Led Zeppelin, Jerry Wexler, and Bob Dylan.
