One Year Of Healing

Send a message or voice memo [https://www.buzzsprout.com/2507656/fan_mail/new] A full year of publishing changes you, whether you meant it to or not. I’m celebrating my one-year podcast anniversary with a behind-the-scenes look at how this show started, why it almost didn’t, and what kept me recording even when I felt exposed, uncertain, or simply exhausted. This milestone also lands next to a deeply symbolic moment in my breast cancer survivor journey: having my chemo port removed. It feels like a closing, an opening, and a reminder that healing is never just one thing. I’m also counting down the four episodes you listened to the most and unpacking why they hit so hard. We revisit ancestral healing and spiritual practices including “Ancestral Energy Medicine” and “limpias,” and the way cultural traditions can bring us back to ourselves without shame. We talk about first generation Latina life and generational healing through cycle breaking, including teen motherhood, strict family expectations, and choosing a different future while still honoring where we come from. Then we go deeper into naming childhood wounds, people pleasing, fear, control, and the hard decision to get support for mental health when it finally hits home. I also share one of my most vulnerable topics: money. From bankruptcy to abundance mindset, the real work is worthiness, learning to receive, and trusting that being resourceful matters more than pretending you’re fine. If you’ve ever felt like you had to be the strong one, this conversation is for you. Subscribe, share this with someone who needs it, and leave a review so more people can find the show. Healing First-Gen Money Trauma

Send a message or voice memo [https://www.buzzsprout.com/2507656/fan_mail/new] Money can trigger a pit-in-the-stomach fear even when the numbers “look fine.” We go straight to the real root: the emotional relationship with money that gets wired in childhood when bills cause fights, stress lives in the house, and you learn to read the room to stay safe. If you’re a first-generation Latina daughter, you might recognise how fast money turns into responsibility, guilt, and a quiet belief that you have to grind to be worthy.  We talk about scarcity mindset as an inherited wound, not a personal flaw. We also name the guilt that can show up when you start making more than your parents, especially when their sacrifices were so visible. We work through a reframe that can loosen that knot: your success doesn’t dishonor them, it can prove their sacrifice mattered. From there, we get practical about “charging your worth” for coaches, healers, creatives, and entrepreneurs who overdeliver, discount, or panic at pricing, and we explore money as an energetic exchange rather than a symbol of greed.  A life-changing cancer diagnosis adds a sharp perspective shift, from “what if I fail?” to “what if I never fully live?” We close with a powerful focus on receiving: compliments, support, opportunities, and abundance in all forms, plus journal prompts to help you identify which money beliefs aren’t even yours. If this hits home, subscribe, share it with a first-gen daughter you love, and leave a review so more people can find the conversation. Dark Night Of The Soul After Survival Mode

Send a message or voice memo [https://www.buzzsprout.com/2507656/fan_mail/new] Nothing is “wrong” with you when the life you worked so hard to build suddenly feels like it doesn’t fit. That discomfort can be the start of a dark night of the soul: not ordinary sadness, not just stress, but a deep spiritual awakening where your nervous system and your inner truth refuse to keep living in survival mode. I share what this looks like in real life, including my own breast cancer journey and the emotional crash that can come after chemo ends. When you’re used to being the strong one, learning to receive support can feel disorienting. Your roles in marriage and family shift, your body changes, hormones and early menopause can intensify emotions, and the old ways you proved your worth through achievement start to feel empty. Grief shows up not only for what you lost, but for who you used to be and the certainty you thought you had. We also talk about how lonely healing can feel even when you have love around you, why you may crave deeper conversations, and how boundaries can trigger misunderstandings with friends or family. Then we get practical: simple tools for burnout recovery and nervous system support, how to rest without guilt, journal honestly, spend time alone intentionally, reconnect spiritually through prayer or meditation, and stop forcing certainty when you only have the next step. If you’re in your own dark night of the soul, let this be a reminder that you’re not failing, you’re transforming. Subscribe for more spiritual healing conversations, share this with someone who needs it, and leave a review so more people can find the support they’ve been missing. Healing Shifts Relationships

Send a message or voice memo [https://www.buzzsprout.com/2507656/fan_mail/new] When relationships start feeling different, it’s easy to assume something went wrong. But what if the real reason is simpler and braver: you’re healing. When your nervous system stops tolerating chaos and your body asks you to slow down, the way you connect has to change too. That can shake a marriage, family ties, and friendships, even when there’s no betrayal, no blowup, and no villain, just growth. We talk about the survival-mode relationship patterns so many of us learned, especially as first-generation women, caretakers, and high achievers. We unpack what it looks like to perform love through overgiving, fixing, peacekeeping, and emotional suppression, and why that identity can feel “safe” until it starts costing you your voice. We also share how a season of illness and healing can soften you, crack you open emotionally, and make surface-level connection feel impossible to return to. You’ll hear practical guidance for building emotional intimacy and emotional safety: stop assuming people can read your mind, speak from vulnerability instead of blame, and let relationships evolve rather than forcing them to stay frozen. We also name the real fear underneath it all, being judged as selfish, distant, or “changed too much,” when you’re simply learning how to need more and receive love differently. If you’re navigating changing relationships, press play for honest language, reflection questions, and a reminder that discomfort does not always mean destruction. Subscribe for more conversations on healing and identity, share this with someone who needs it, and leave a review telling us what part hit home. The Identity Crisis of Becoming More

Send a message or voice memo [https://www.buzzsprout.com/2507656/fan_mail/new] Healing can be a homecoming, but it can also feel like exile. When we grow into more self awareness and emotional honesty, the old roles that once earned us love and praise can suddenly feel suffocating. I share a raw look at the identity crisis that shows up when you’ve spent years being the strong one, the caretaker, the dependable fixer and you realise you’ve been disappearing inside the performance. We talk about the grief of outgrowing environments that used to feel like home: friendships built on overgiving, conversations that now feel heavy, and patterns your survival mode tolerated that your healed self can’t unsee. I name the lonely “in between” season where you don’t resonate with your old life, but the new life still feels unfamiliar, and why that discomfort may be proof you’re finally telling the truth. Expect practical reflections on boundary setting, people pleasing, nervous system shifts, and what it means to be a cycle breaker healing generational trauma. I also open up about how major life change can intensify transformation, including the way chemotherapy and physical change can reset identity and priorities. When you’re forced to confront how precious time is, it gets harder to keep living for everyone else’s expectations. You’ll leave with journal prompts to help you choose yourself without shame, and reminders that you are not too much, you’re becoming whole. If this lands, listen, share it with someone who needs it, and subscribe, rate, and leave a review so more people can find these conversations.
