When I found myself with nowhere to live and uncertain about the future, it was fellow Jefas who stepped up, offering solutions that kept my family and business rooted in Southern California. This experience reinforced something I've learned deeply since I began this pursuit of CCJ - we aren't meant to build businesses in isolation. Our community has grown in beautiful ways during this time of personal challenge. The CCJ Casita now hosts over 35 virtual events monthly, from hyper-focus sessions where we work alongside each other to specialized programs led by community leaders. We're expanding our reach through a new partnership with the AmigaHood platform, launching bi-weekly Cafecito and Co-working sessions beginning August 5th. It began with simple virtual coffee dates, one jefa at a time. Sometimes just me and one other woman on a Zoom call, sharing dreams and fears that felt too vulnerable for anywhere else. Those early conversations grew into a movement with a mission: to alleviate the profound loneliness of entrepreneurship. Today, our community provides not just connection but strategy, teaching jefas to grow their brands without burning out, to build businesses aligned with their current season rather than external pressures.
