Office Romance | Is It a Classic Rom-Com or Raunchy Comedy?

This week, we watched Office Romance, Netflix’s latest “romantic comedy” starring Jennifer Lopez and Brett Goldstein. Brett, who also co-wrote the film, set out to "make an old-school rom-com" ... but did he actually accomplish his goal? We let you know what we think. Before we dive into the movie, we kick things off with our Week 1 recap of Love Island USA, because there, OF COURSE, there's already plenty to discuss. Then we get into our full review of Office Romance. We share what worked, what didn’t, and what we think a movie needs in order to earn “classic rom-com” status. We discuss Jennifer Lopez’s performance, her chemistry with Brett Goldstein, whether the romance itself actually worked, and the scenes that left us absolutely FLABBERGASTED. Roman Holiday | Reviewing Our Oldest RomCom Yet!

Today we went back in time to a classic movie that would become the blueprint for many romcoms to come! This was Audrey Hepburn's first major American film, and there's no question whether she deserves her icon status after seeing how charming and wonderful she is in Roman Holiday. We also loved Gregory Peck and will be searching for some TikTok edits of him immediately. Off Campus is the MOST WATCHED show on Amazon Prime Video, and we understand why! Is it a little bit cringey at times? Well, sure, it’s a show about college students. But honestly, that makes it feel more realistic because *we* were cringey in college too. And more importantly, it’s sexy, fun, and surprisingly thoughtful in the way it handles its heavier themes. We start off by sharing some of the upcoming June romance releases, and then we dive deep into our thoughts on Off Campus.
