After becoming twitch partner this year Samantha shares what it takes for others to reach their own targets and what it's really like with the pressures of streaming to large audiences. We get into what gaming has meant to her as she's gotten older, how the content world has changed during her time online and whether she has any concerns for content creation moving forward. I LOVE these guys - PoeticSurge and GoodGameDan - otherwise known as the hosts of the gaming show Good Poets Gaming Podcast. As they usher in season 4 of their show we get into a refreshingly honest discussion about the struggles of content creation, how to manage these concerns and how having a growth mindset is key to sustaining long-term comfort on social media. We get into the real grind with understanding analytics, numbers of the definition of success. Diversifying your content isn't the main goal, but maybe using more platforms is the way forward. The boys show is amazing and the banter and chemistry between them in palpable, but they also have time for real deep dive debates and entertaining content. We chat about the behind the scenes dynamic and the actual process that goes in to making these shows. In this episode Jay explains why the art of restoration is key in the Video Game industry. Too often we lose games and IP's to time because we lack the ability (or desire) to maintain them. Jay's gets into why they enjoy the tech side of gaming, and how being introduced to the "older" generation of games at an early age has enabled them to make friends and transcend generations in the real world.
