Stop Starting the New Year Disappointed - Do This Positive Process Instead

At the start of a new year, most people reflect on the past year and think about what they want to change going forward. This often leads to self-criticism, frustration, or feeling discouraged about what didn’t happen or where they fell short. And frustration and disappointment are not a great jumping-off point for creating a new vision for the coming year. Despite our programming, being self-critical doesn’t create change. So this year, I’m offering a different approach. Instead of focusing on what didn’t go the way you wanted, it’s better to focus on the times in the last year when you felt really good about life or yourself. Identifying past moments where you felt proud, aligned, or energized can then be reverse engineered (what did I do to get there?) to create a clear path to more of that energy in the coming months. Identifying and focusing on those moments builds a bridge between what went well in the last year and how to get more of that as you move into the new year. Hit play if you’re ready to connect with the energy that will truly help you get your vibe right in 2026!

Why Change Feels Impossible Until You See Yourself Differently

This episode came to me in the quiet hours of the morning, the kind of 3:30 a.m. wake up that feels less like insomnia and more like an invitation to listen. A voice in my head guided me to explore a pattern many of us (including me) don’t realize we’re stuck in, letting our preconceived ideas create our future. Something that traps us in a loop of recreating the same version of ourselves and others over and over again, without allowing for change. If we see ourselves and others as fundamentally flawed, then they (and we) can never be anything but that. Our perception informs the field of potential, and we hold on so tightly to the way we think the world is that we don’t allow it to be any other way. This “divine download” taught me that each moment offers us the opportunity to let go of old perceptions and tell a new story, to allow what is to simply be, without judgment or prediction. Once we embrace the idea that each moment gives us the chance to create a new version of ourselves, we can begin informing the field, through our thoughts and self concept, how we want the future to unfold. If you’ve been feeling frustrated about not being able to change something, or someone, in your life, this episode goes deep into why that happens and what actually allows change to occur.

When Negative Thoughts Hijack the Holidays: Byron Katie's "The Work"

The holidays have a way of stirring up old programming, unresolved hurt, family dynamics, grief, guilt, and every assumption you’ve ever made about what other people think about you. And without even realizing it, you’re pulled out of the moment, and instead you’re living inside a painful narrative that's running your life. We get stuck in our heads, especially around the holidays — replaying old hurts, assuming the worst, feeling obligated, or carrying guilt. And those thoughts quietly hijack your entire emotional experience, making you feel heavy, resentful, anxious, or numb when what you really want is to feel joyful, present and connected. In this episode, I'm sharing how Byron Katie’s “The Work” can help you catch negative thoughts before they drag you into frustration, resentment, or self-righteousness. This is a process that will uncouple you from painful thoughts and allow you to move forward free of the pain of the past.  This one is for you if you’re ready to feel lighter, calmer, and more present — and to step into the new year without the beliefs that have been dimming your light. Break Old Patterns of Overextending and Reclaim Your Energy

It's time to take a hard look at where your'e overextending...you know, the relationships where you put more life force in than you get back, the projects that require you to "grind" 24/7, and the soul-sucking areas of your life that aren't producing fruit...yeah, that, those places that once mattered, but now feel like they’re costing you more than feeding you. This episode, was inspired by an old apple tree on my favorite walking trail, a tree that stopped feeding its dead branches so it could pour energy into what was still alive and vibrant, closer to its core. Just looking at it reminds me that pulling back isn’t quitting. It’s wisdom. It’s evolution. And it’s choosing to redirect your life force toward what actually supports you. If you’re wrestling with whether it’s time to let someone or something go… if you’re trying to figure out where your energy is being wasted and where it’s ready to flourish… come with me on a Sunday stroll by the Kootenai River. Let’s work the “worth-it equation” together and get a clear picture of what deserves your energy and where its better to pull back.

Why You’re Not Seeing the Change You Want

Your attention is your most valuable currency. Where you "pay attention" determines what your life looks like. If you've been wanting growth and change but find yourself in the same place year after year. It's because your creation currency (your attention, focus, imagination) is being scattered or drained by distractions, comparison, and the drift of daily life. In this episode, we'll talk about how to start redirecting your attention back to the life you want to create. Through a simple daily practice that is guaranteed to change your life (if you just stick with it). If you want to feel different in a year, if you want to actually see the change you’ve been craving, this is where you start. By consistently spending your creation currency on YOU rather than on distraction or comparison.  Hit play if you want to stop “trying to fix what’s wrong” and instead learn how to align with the version of you that already has what you desire.
